6. Our Mission
We believe that getting
young people engaged and
invested in the environment
and in their communities is
an essential element of
community resilience.
7. Our Expectation
• Youth must learn the critical skills necessary
for supporting community and integrating
civic action into their educational
experiences.
• Develop an implementation plan that can be
put into action immediately In order to
achieve CLEAN & GREEN PAKISTAN objective.
8. HOW YOUTH AMBASSADOR CAN CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS A
CLEANER AND GREENER ENVIRONMENT?
• By kicking off the process from their educational institutions,
1. the Youth Ambassadors should sensitize people to myriad
health related problems caused by heaps of garbage in big
cities. They in fact will have to become trendsetter and role
model for this great cause by practically involving
themselves in plantation and cleanliness.
9. HOW YOUTH AMBASSADOR CAN CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS A
CLEANER AND GREENER ENVIRONMENT?
2. Youth Ambassadors can spread knowledge among other
students about the importance of green environment and
ways to keep the environment healthy and green through
school teaching programs, cleaning campaigns, running
programs, workshops, campaigns since spreading knowledge
among student means disseminating awareness among their
friends, relatives and among the whole community.
Awareness among the probable hit community is the best
way to combat climate change and other environmental
issues.
10. HOW YOUTH AMBASSADOR CAN CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS A

healthy environment Youth Ambassadors can

cleanliness programs inside their institutions and in
their society.
11. HOW YOUTH AMBASSADOR CAN CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS A

about agriculture, forestry, veterinary for the resource
allocation and for the proper management of renewable
natural resources with the reduction of the use of non-
renewable natural resources and thus saving energy

16. SPREADING LITTER
• Litterers are heavily fined in civilized countries.
• Rwanda, an East African country is a case study in terms of maintaining
high level of cleanliness by imposing fines and penalties to violators.
• Pakistan is in need of formulating laws against litterers. We need to
impose fines on all those who litter outside homes, in parks, out of cars
or at any other places like markets and picnic spots.
• Our great touristic attractions including Lake Saif ul Mulook, Murree,
Ayubia, Nathia Gali, Naran, Kaghan, Kalam, beaches in Karachi are
presenting too ugly look
Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
17. SPREADING LITTER IS UNACCEPTABLE IN
CIVILIZED WORLD
• Throwing litter outside home either on ramp, lawn, street
or road is too bad and ugly
• Throwing a wrapper, an empty bag, a cigarette pack, etc.
out of a moving car makes our roads dirty and ugly
• Littering our parks and gardens with empty lunch boxes,
juice packs, bottles, fruit peels, peanut coverings, all types
of wrappers, makes them dirty and unclean
• Cleaning costs of every nook and corner are too high.
Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
18. USING DUSTBINS FOR DISPOSING OFF LITTER
Human beings by nature like cleanliness. They like neat and
tidy surroundings. If litter is spread around, it not only gives
an untidy and ugly look but poses hazard to health. Dustbins
are the best places for litter. Every type of litter should be
thrown in to dustbins which should be emptied regularly.
Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
27. RESPECTI NG AND HELPING CLEANERS
• Cleaning isn’t the work of any particular community. Islam asks muslims
to keep themselves and their surroundings clean. Those who clean our
streets, markets, offices, schools and picnic spots deserve our respect,
help and care and we should never look down upon them. Treating them
with respect and dignity is the minimum we can do
• Our streets and markets provide a disgusting look if they are not cleaned
on a single day. Hence, we should realize that without cleaners, our life
will become hell
• Speaking to the cleaners politely and gently, handing them over a glass
of cold or hot drink or any eatable in peak summer or winter will not
only encourage them but that act of kindness will be highly rewarded by
Allah Almighty as well
Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
30. LITTER BURNING IS A BIG THREAT
• Litter burning rampant in our society is too dangerous and
suicidal
• We think burning is the only way to dispose off litter
which is wrong
• Burning litter produces unwanted poisonous gases which
ultimately threaten human existence and cause depletion
of ozone layer exposing living beings to the dangerous
rays of the sun
• Litter if buried or covered in large pits decomposes in to
fertilizer vital for plants

32. Imagine the high temperatures and level of carbon
dioxide and other gases in air

35. WATER IS LIFE AND WATER WASTAGE IS A
CRIME AS WELL AS A SIN
• We give no value to water because so far we had enough of it
• Our population had mushroom growth during the last 20 years
and we are increasing at dangerous fast speed.
• Our resources haven’t grown with that speed and we gave no
attention to building water reservoirs. And believe me water is
getting scarce day by day.
• We need to save water while brushing teeth, taking shower,
washing our car or bike, watering plants, etc. A mug of water
could suffice while brushing teeth but we spend equal to a bucket
because our tap remains open. Instead of a bucket, with pipe we
end up using water equal to 40 or 50 buckets for washing a car.
Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
36. WATER IS LIFE
• We can’t stop using water but we can stop wasting it. Almost
everyone is busy in digging down for a tube well which is
decreasing the level of underground water. This is precious
water which needs to be used for other important usage
• New dams are a Must but the biggest Must is changing our
habit of wasting water
• We don’t have enough water for growing grains, fruits and
vegetables

42. HOT FOOD IN PLASTIC BAGS
Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
43. HOT FOOD IN PLASTIC BAGS IS CANCEROUS
• Hot food items like tea, milk, curries, rice, etc. sold in polythene
bags is one of the major causes of growing cancer these days in
Pakistan.
• Most of us go to buy halwa puri, chana, curries and bring them in
plastic shoppers instead of taking hotpots and steel utensils with
us. Even boiling tea is given in plastic shopping bags. We used to
take a cloth for buying roti 20 years ago but now we bring rotis in
newspapers and plastic bags
Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
44. HOT FOOD
• Even the Saver food company sells its take away hot Pulao in
plastic shopping bags or polythene type white boxes which isn’t
hard plastic and likely to melt under high temperatures. Whereas if
you buy take away from Howdy, it provides you hot food in
aluminum foil boxes which are heat resistant and recommended
for hot food internationally
• To save from cancer, we need to refuse any hot food item in
polythene bags and non aluminum foil containers

49. SAY NO TO PLASTIC BAGS
Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
50. SAY NO TO PLASTIC BAGS
• We should carry cloth bags for shopping. The
plastic shopping bags have choked our sewerage
system and causing serious pollution
• A country like Rwanda in East Africa banned
plastic shopping bags in 2006
• If at all unavoidable, we should turn to bio
degradable plastic bags which decompose
naturally in the environment

area residents
• The dream is to see Pakistanis taking ownership of their

Kachnar Park Drafted by Mohammad Abdul Wahab
55. Involvement of Community
