6. Tiger Project
Launched in 1973 by GOI with the aims at
ensuring a viable population of Bengal Tigers in
their natural habitats and also to protect them from
extinction, and preserving areas of biological
importance as a natural heritage forever represented
as close as possible the diversity
of ecosystems across the tiger's distribution in the
country

8. Project Elephant
Project Elephant was launched in 1992 by
the Government of India to provide financial and
technical support of wildlife management efforts by
states for their free ranging populations of
wild Asian elephants.

48. CONCLUSIONS
In mostly states population of elephant is decrease from 1993 to
2012, but in Kerala, Jharkhand and population is increase.
Tiger population is increase from 1972 to 2001 but now in 2011 tiger
population is very less.
GIS is also used for calculation of wild animal.
