Website review
The website
, https://www.mayoclinic.org/
, is an online platform for the nonprofit medical center, Mayo
Clinic, which is physically based in Minnesota
. The Mayo Clinic center focuses on clinical practice,
education, and research and uses the website to avail the
information to the public. The research available on the website
covers various diseases or medical conditions, both rare and
common. In addition, the analysis of the diseases ranges from
the description, causes, symptoms, all the way to the proposed
treatment methods. The focus of this paper will be analyzing the
information on the website regarding
Adult a
ttention/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The analysis will
involve three aspects: coverage, objectivity, and accuracy of the
information presented.
Coverage
: In general, most diseases have causes, symptoms, risks,
complications, treatment and sometimes, coexisting conditions.
Regarding Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), the
website starts by giving an overview of what ADHD is and
which people are likely to suffer the medical condition. Such an
overview is useful to readers as it enlightens them on what the
entire article on the website will be talking about. The article
goes ahead to expound on the symptoms of ADHD with the
main features being difficulty paying attention, impulsiveness,
and restlessness. Such information aims to cure the anxiety of
readers who may be experiencing similar symptoms and are in
fear of having the condition or others who are fully unaware
that what they are experiencing are actually symptoms of ADHD
(Castells, Blanco‐Silvente & Cunill, 2018). However, according
to the article, some of the symptoms do occur in day-to-day
activities and are not necessarily signs of ADHD. To address
this, the article goes further to give a distinction of what is
normal and what is ADHD. The article then gives the causes,
risk factors, complications and coexisting factors associated
with ADHD and goes even further to provide a link for readers
to book an appointment with the Mayo Clinic center. In
addition, the arrangement of the information is logical and the
flow is smooth when shifting from one topic to another. The
review of the website reveals that the coverage aspect of the
article is sufficient as all aspects of the Adult
attention/Hyperactivity Disorder have been fully highlighted.
Objectivity
: The article on the website presents the information on Adult
attention/Hyperactivity Disorder from a neutral point of view.
For instance, the general overview of ADHD gives only a
description of the condition and its implications on both
children and adult. Such a description shows neutrality as it
does not qualify ADHD into categories such as an adult only
disease. The aspect of neutrality is evident in the treatment
recommendations since the article, despite being from a medical
center, acknowledges the existence of different treatment
recommendations by different medical professionals. Such an
act shows that the website is focused on getting people cured
rather than getting people into their clinic (Castells,
Blanco‐Silvente & Cunill, 2018). In terms of the Adult
attention/Hyperactivity Disorder itself, the article focuses on all
the aspects of the disease straight from description, symptoms,
complications, coexisting conditions, and risk factors. By not
focusing on a single aspect of ADHD and providing such
comprehensive information, this is an indication of objectivity.
In addition, the article does not include the authors’ thoughts or
feeling regarding ADHD – it is factual and evidence-based,
which is a further indication of objectivity. The analysis of the
ADHD article on the website, therefore, reveals that the author
is objective and free from biasedness.
Accuracy
: In reviewing the website
, the review based on the accuracy aspect sought to check
whether the information provided is reliable and valid for
consumption by readers. The foregoing was achieved by making
a comparison between the information provided by the website
with other sources of information regarding the same topic,
Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder. The general description
by the website matched with those of the other sources. In
addition, the symptoms and causes were similar (Castells,
Blanco‐Silvente & Cunill, 2018). However, the article
by the Mayo Clinic website proved to be more detailed
especially in expounding on other aspects of the ADHD
condition such as coexisting factors and risk factors associated
with ADHD (Yoshimasu, Barbaresi, Colligan, Voigt, Killian,
Weaver & Katusic, 2018). The other resources supported the
acknowledgment made by the Mayo Clinic website regarding
the existence of different treatment procedures. From the
accuracy review of the article, it is evident that the article on
the Mayo Clinic website was accurate in terms of the
information presented on Adult attention/Hyperactivity
Disorder.
In conclusion, the authors’ actions of giving comprehensive
information regarding ADHD and not sticking to only one
aspect of the condition is a clear indication of the coverage
aspect of the website. Through a clear description of ADHD as
well as its other variables and the exclusion of the authors’
thoughts and feelings towards ADHD, the author reveals their
objectivity. More so, and as supported by the data sources the
information presented was found to be accurate and
consumable. Therefore, the review revealed that the article on
Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder by the Mayo Clinic did a
good job with coverage, objectivity, and accuracy.

Thank you for submitting your rough draft of this essay.
Remember that I mark mistakes only the first time or two that I
see them. That means you will need to read your essay
carefully, fixing any similar mistakes before submitting the
work for a grade.
Remember that I ask that you use no wording that reveals the
type of essay being written.
Remember that I ask that you write this and associated words
as two words, capitalizing the W as a proper noun:Web site
Web pages
No live links or Web site addresses in the essay
Missing internal citation; remember that any sentence that
contains information that is not common knowledge must have
its own internal citation.
No explicit statements about what you or the essay will do,
plans to do, or has done.
Capitalize
Better thesis statement required; it must render a judgment
about how well the Mayo Clinic does with the criteria.
No—do not use this format. Write in full sentences.
Additionally, use appropriate transition at the beginning of each
body paragraph:First,
Next,
Finally,
A better topic sentence is needed here:First, the Mayo Clinic’s
ADHD Web pages do a good job with coverage.
See previous comments
See previous comments
Do not insert yourself or anyone else into the essay, even in a
subtle way like this.
Do not use the word article and document. The review essay is
being written about the Mayo Clinic’s ADHD Web pages, so
refer to them that way.
Remove the hard returns before this title. Use Word’s Insert a
Page Break feature instead. Remove the underlines. The essay is
short an entry for the Mayo Clinic and ensure at least one
corresponding internal citation is in the essay, too.

15willWebsite reviewThe website, httpswww.docx

  • 1. 1 5 will Website review The website , https://www.mayoclinic.org/ , is an online platform for the nonprofit medical center, Mayo Clinic, which is physically based in Minnesota . The Mayo Clinic center focuses on clinical practice, education, and research and uses the website to avail the information to the public. The research available on the website covers various diseases or medical conditions, both rare and common. In addition, the analysis of the diseases ranges from the description, causes, symptoms, all the way to the proposed treatment methods. The focus of this paper will be analyzing the information on the website regarding Adult a ttention/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The analysis will involve three aspects: coverage, objectivity, and accuracy of the information presented. Coverage : In general, most diseases have causes, symptoms, risks, complications, treatment and sometimes, coexisting conditions. Regarding Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), the website starts by giving an overview of what ADHD is and which people are likely to suffer the medical condition. Such an overview is useful to readers as it enlightens them on what the entire article on the website will be talking about. The article
  • 2. goes ahead to expound on the symptoms of ADHD with the main features being difficulty paying attention, impulsiveness, and restlessness. Such information aims to cure the anxiety of readers who may be experiencing similar symptoms and are in fear of having the condition or others who are fully unaware that what they are experiencing are actually symptoms of ADHD (Castells, Blanco‐Silvente & Cunill, 2018). However, according to the article, some of the symptoms do occur in day-to-day activities and are not necessarily signs of ADHD. To address this, the article goes further to give a distinction of what is normal and what is ADHD. The article then gives the causes, risk factors, complications and coexisting factors associated with ADHD and goes even further to provide a link for readers to book an appointment with the Mayo Clinic center. In addition, the arrangement of the information is logical and the flow is smooth when shifting from one topic to another. The review of the website reveals that the coverage aspect of the article is sufficient as all aspects of the Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder have been fully highlighted. Objectivity : The article on the website presents the information on Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder from a neutral point of view. For instance, the general overview of ADHD gives only a description of the condition and its implications on both children and adult. Such a description shows neutrality as it does not qualify ADHD into categories such as an adult only disease. The aspect of neutrality is evident in the treatment recommendations since the article, despite being from a medical center, acknowledges the existence of different treatment recommendations by different medical professionals. Such an act shows that the website is focused on getting people cured rather than getting people into their clinic (Castells, Blanco‐Silvente & Cunill, 2018). In terms of the Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder itself, the article focuses on all the aspects of the disease straight from description, symptoms, complications, coexisting conditions, and risk factors. By not
  • 3. focusing on a single aspect of ADHD and providing such comprehensive information, this is an indication of objectivity. In addition, the article does not include the authors’ thoughts or feeling regarding ADHD – it is factual and evidence-based, which is a further indication of objectivity. The analysis of the ADHD article on the website, therefore, reveals that the author is objective and free from biasedness. Accuracy : In reviewing the website , the review based on the accuracy aspect sought to check whether the information provided is reliable and valid for consumption by readers. The foregoing was achieved by making a comparison between the information provided by the website with other sources of information regarding the same topic, Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder. The general description by the website matched with those of the other sources. In addition, the symptoms and causes were similar (Castells, Blanco‐Silvente & Cunill, 2018). However, the article by the Mayo Clinic website proved to be more detailed especially in expounding on other aspects of the ADHD condition such as coexisting factors and risk factors associated with ADHD (Yoshimasu, Barbaresi, Colligan, Voigt, Killian, Weaver & Katusic, 2018). The other resources supported the acknowledgment made by the Mayo Clinic website regarding the existence of different treatment procedures. From the accuracy review of the article, it is evident that the article on the Mayo Clinic website was accurate in terms of the information presented on Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder. In conclusion, the authors’ actions of giving comprehensive information regarding ADHD and not sticking to only one aspect of the condition is a clear indication of the coverage aspect of the website. Through a clear description of ADHD as well as its other variables and the exclusion of the authors’ thoughts and feelings towards ADHD, the author reveals their objectivity. More so, and as supported by the data sources the
  • 4. information presented was found to be accurate and consumable. Therefore, the review revealed that the article on Adult attention/Hyperactivity Disorder by the Mayo Clinic did a good job with coverage, objectivity, and accuracy.
