Internationally Known Business Leader, Educator, and Philanthropist Jim Sintros
1. James L. Sintros
Jim Sintros is internationally known in the fields of business, education and philanthropy. He
serves on the boards of corporations, educational and healthcare institutions and charitable
foundations in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
Sintros has successfully raised capital and established companies, both private and publicly
traded, in the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. His world-wide client list includes high
tech and Internet-based companies, universities, medical centers, venture capital firms and
charitable foundations involved in education, healthcare, historic preservation and the Arts.
Sintros has also established international campuses for US colleges and universities in Europe,
Asia and Africa, and has incorporated US charitable foundations for many international
educational institutions.
For many years, Sintros was involved in international automobile racing and was instrumental in
the establishment of what is now the world’s largest racing driver training school. He also
participated in the school’s anti-terrorist and executive protection programs. He was actively
involved in establishing and organizing A1GP (www.A1GP.com) in Dubai, UAE, an
international motor racing series founded by members of the Al Maktoum family, which holds
races in 12 countries. Sintros remains active at the top levels of motor racing, and advises racing
facilities operators, participants and sanctioning bodies.
He is Managing Director of Sintros International and Managing Director of Professional
Development Services Ltd. of Anguilla, British West Indies (BWI), which is the world-wide
distributor of several medical software systems. He is also partner in Bluewater Films, Ltd., of
Anguilla, BWI.
Sintros serves as Senior Advisor to the Chairman of the Monitor Group, and is a Director of the
Institute for Foreign Policy Analysis, (www.IFPA.org). He is also on the International Board of
Academic Advisors of the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management, www.iirmworld.org.in
in Hyderabad, India.
In addition to the corporate boards on which he serves, Sintros is a Trustee of the Hult
International Business School which has campuses in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and
Shanghai. Sintros is president of the Joseph W. Stilwell Institute Foundation, a US tax-exempt
charitable foundation, which operates the Stilwell Museum in Chongqing, P.R. China, the only
national monument in China dedicated to a foreigner.
