2. an entrepreneur and author whose main focus is on
gamification; he enforces that video games have the
“power to help engage people and build strong
organizations and communities”.
3. He theorizes that video games of the 21st century
are making children smarter, not the
opposite.
5. TED TALK WITH GABE:
He introduces the first game console he ever played amongst a humorous
personal experience – rich neighbors & the Atari 2600.
6. TED TALK WITH GABE:
Incorporating a 90’s classic, “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?”
He pointed out that it was the first game to draw both kids AND adults in.
7. DYNAMISM:
Zichermann had moments of speech disfluency where he may or may
not have known where to continue but, overall has a great way of
drawing in the crowd.
8. Much like Duarte and
Reynolds, Zichermann’s slides
were layered with
images, focused on the topic at
hand and followed similar
slideshow conventions as the
above mentioned.
9. Upon viewing his presentation, I learned that the delivery of your
speech should be fluid and concise;
Keep steady eye contact with your audience.
10. THEIR SIMILARITIES:
Both Zichermann and Robinson feel
passionately about their causes and
generally know how to throw in humor at
the right time during their speech(es).
11. THEIR DIFFERENCES:
Robinson’s words are much clearer and
are, humor aside, mostly strictly to the topic at
hand.
12. CONT’D DIFFERENCES:
Zichermann uses a more roundabout
approach; he’ll tell a story then relate it to a
tidbit of info and so on and so forth.
