Thursday 24th Team Captain Meeting

  3. 3. UF RELAY FOR LIFE! MARCH 22nd-23rd!!!!! On Flavet Field!!!! “Game for a Cure”  Think board games, sports, gameshows, be creative! - our website where you sign up! You can have food there for a “donation” as long as you’ve completed and turned in a food contract!  Food is cooked in a licensed kitchen! – the reason for the contract

What is relay?? An 18 hour event put on by the community and the American Cancer Society Relay takes place all around the world To raise money and awareness for cancer research, prevention, and treatment During Relay we  CELEBRATE our survivors!  REMEMBER those we’ve lost  And commit to FIGHTING BACK against cancer! Teams walk the track all night to symbolize the never ending fight against cancer that we will continue until there is a cure because cancer does not sleep
  5. 5. Mission Moment! January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month
  6. 6. Hair Donations! Hair donations go towards woman and children with cancer who’ve lost their hair and want a wig Hair must be 8” in length Hair cannot be color treated or bleached Email if you are interested!

Updates & Reminders! Please make sure you’re registered online!  Let your team mentor know of any team captain changes We are still telling t-shirts!!! 10$ each & 6$ goes to team profit  “A One Night Stand You Won’t Regret”  “Fight Like A Gator”  “Wanna Get Relayed” You MUST have a food contract to have food for “donations” at Relay You can turn in any money or t-shirt order forms at any meeting Start reminding your team members to get registered online as participants
  8. 8. Luminaria Donations for luminaria bags count toward your team profit Can be purchased online at our website  Email any pictures of friends or family members that have had or currently have cancer 
  9. 9. Team Mentor BreakoutSession! Things to discuss with your mentors:  How to raise your first 100$  T-shirts, coin drive, luminaria, restaurant nights, etc.  How to plan fundraisers prior to Relay  Resturants you can work with  Stores and businesses that you can ask for donations from  Registering participants online  Questions can be answered by mentors 

Fundraisers! If you have any upcoming events or fundraisers please let us know! We’d love to put your fundraiser on our website and Facebook page! Email with event information UPCOMING FUNDRAISER: February 21st after the team captain meeting at Gelato Company. The team with the highest percentage of participants gets the money raised that night!

  12. 12. SUPER IMPORTANTUpcoming Dates!!! February 21st Team Captains Meeting starts at 6:30 in Turlington L005  We will be picking campsites, themes, and onsite fundraisers! Please make sure someone is there  Come with ideas in mind and 2-3 backups!  Picking in order of pre-registered teams in order of fundraising, then everyone else in order of registration March 20th Team Captains Meeting at 6:30 is bank night!  Turn in all money prior to the event  For every 100$ raised so far We will be tabling every Wednesday & Thursday in February!  Come check in at the table on Thursdays wearing a Relay shirt to get spirit points!!
