2. The flood came about as a result of all the heavy rain.

3. They built up their savings account so they could buy a house. How did they build it up so quickly? They stopped buying clothes and eating out all the time.

7. We can’t see who the cheque is made out to. It’s really difficult to make out some of this writing. I can’t read all the words.

10. The son certainly did not live up to his father’s expectations. He expected his son to become a lawyer!

11. “ Yes, honey, I promise to do everything on the To Do list, today.” He didn’t live up to his promise, did he?

12. She made a promise to her kids to quit smoking, and so far she has stuck to it! She hasn’t had a single cigarette since she said she’d quit!

13. If you stick to the rules, we’ll have a great meeting.

14. She bought a used car from a reliable person for a lot of money. He said it was in great condition. But it soon broke down. She got ripped off .

15. You paid how much???? You got ripped off ! THAT’S not a REAL Gucci watch. It’s fake!
