Causes and Effects from Case Studies Essay
The cause and effect diagram is both essential and efficient tool in finding out the main cause for a
particular problem. It visualizes the whole process and gives a clear picture on most of the causes
and effects that are involved in the problem.
Example 1 (DWTPCS2110613):
In this case study of an Aircraft Manufacturing Company there was an issue regarding the delivery
of the upper door to the final assembly. By applying differentsix sigma tools like Process mapping,
Pareto chart they came to know that there was a problem in three different sectors of the company
and the six sigma team of the company implemented cause and effect diagram to analyze the main
root cause for the problem and they came out with a result that the door handling...show more

Example 1 (AASVCS2110413):
The case study is in welding wire manufacturing plant which implemented six sigma
methodologies for reducing the waste and increase the yield of manufacturing process. The
company has the data regarding the KPIV'S and KPOV'S. The SIPOC was used in the define
phase of the DMAIC process. By using the SIPOC they came out with three different defects out of
many and used the other tools of six sigma to solve the problem further. The SIPOC in this case was
used to narrow down the defects and focus on the main causes.
Example 2 (IKMBCS2103013):
The case study is related to health care and their objective is to provide top health care but there
was a dissatisfaction in the hygiene of cardiothoracic unit and overall goal to reduce the pathogens
and maintain hygiene conditions and waste reduction. The cross functional six sigma team was
created to address the issue. Firstly they used SIPOC diagram to narrow down the input variables
and came out with a specific cause for the problem. They used the SIPOC in the Identify phase of
DMAIC process.
DOE: Design of Experiments:
DOE is the efficient six sigma tool which is being taught to the today's belts to focus their
application in the Improve phase of the DMAIC process.

Child violence is a topic which has exposed itself tremendously with both causes and effects;
causes being, poor parenting, environment and exposure, and effects including depression,
difficulties in school and criminal behavior. Most people try not to address poor parenting
because it can be a very sensitive topic but, it is very important and lack of conversation or
teaching can become an issue. We have all been somewhere and witness a child misbehaving and
the parent not reprimanding their child. We have also heard stories of how a child may be being
abused or witnessing abuse by a parent, guardian or loved one. A child being bullied or rough
housing with siblings may also become an issue. Cursing and fighting around a child can...show more

This could lead to many lifelong problems; such as not continuing school, no job, poverty and
ending in depression. Depression and anxiety are two distinct effects of child violence. Often
times when a child has grown up witnessing or experiencing violence it affects them for a
longtime; sometimes even into adulthood. Sometimes this affects a person socially; they may fine
that they are often alone and do not feel like they fit in. Which in some causes can lead to
depression. Children that grow up with violence also often deal with anxiety; they usually feel as
though they are on edge and never really know what to expect from people or situations, which may
also cause them to behave poorly. Criminal behavior can be categorized as another effect of child
violence. A great deal of criminals, offenders or even people with some kind of criminal history
are known to have been affected by violence or a child. Some of them have come from abusive
environments, poor living and social environment, and not being taught well. As stated previously,
being abused or witnessing abuses can cause a child to be violent, because it can be a learned
habit. Not being taught well goes back to the parents. Some parents just do not discipline well.
They may either be too firm or too lenient. Children that do not suffer consequences for poor
behavior may feel they will never receive punishment and when they finally do it may be too late.
Child violence has many different

Droughts, lengthy hot spells, heavy downpours, floods, and other extreme weather events are
occurring more frequently and intensely every year. Around the world, research teams are
analyzing these trends, noting the changes in temperature, rainfall, ice mass, sea level, and many
other variables recorded by weather measuring devices. The trends are undeniable: the Earth is
getting warmer. Polar sea ice and glaciers are melting, the sea level is rising, and as the oceans
absorb more and more carbon dioxide, they are becoming measurably more acidic. Why is this
happening? What is the cause of all this global warming? Mostly consisting of water vapor, the
atmosphere is a natural layer blanketing the earth and creating what is known as the "greenhouse
effect." Normally protecting the planet from temperature extremes, when heat–trapping gasses
accumulate in the atmosphere this creates an unnatural "expansion" of the greenhouse effect. The
result is global warming.
As reported in the 2014 NCA, "Only with the inclusion of human influences can models reproduce
the observed temperature changes." Over approximately the past 100 years, the burning of fossil
fuels such as oil, gasoline, and coal has increased the concentration of carbon dioxide in Earth's
atmosphere. CO2 is the chemical result of the burning process which occurs when carbon is
introduced into oxygen. To a lesser degree,

Cause And Effect Essay
In the first part of the experiment, students will use observation to study the cause and effect of
four different chemicals brought together and changed occurring. The four chemicals that will be
looked closely at are Calcium Chloride (CaCl2), Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO3), Phenol Red
Solution, and Deionized Water (H2O). The chemical changes students will mainly look for is if
there is a change of color, heat and/or light generated, gas produced and precipitate formation.
Applying these principles in a practical manner will be used to determine the underlying factors
responsible for the particular observations. The second section of this experiment is carried out a
series of controlled experiments to determine the cause of change in each...show more content...
Prior to starting the experimentation, students must wear their appropriate personal laboratory attire
including, a lab coat, safety goggles, nonlatex gloves, and chemistry lab manual. After successfully
conducting the experiment, students must empty contents in a waste disposal bin provided when
all reactions are subsided. Students must clean plastic bag with a little water and dispose of it in a
bag in the trash. To determine what combinations of chemicals are responsible for each observed
changed, students may conduct a series of controlled experiments with the same quantities of
chemicals. If chemicals are spilled on a student's body or caught on fire, the best method to put it
down is he or she must go to the safety shower, take off their clothes entirely and rinse off the
chemicals for at least 15 minutes as recommended by the National Institute for Occupational Safety
and Health (NIOSH). The same goes if chemicals get caught into the eyes or hands. Remember to
carefully handle the chemicals in a cautious and efficient manner, and notify the instructor of any
incidents.
Phenol red or water mixed with calcium chloride produced heat. It seems as though all calcium
chloride needs is a liquid to increase in temperature. No, the controlled experiments became both hot
and cold, and so did the overall reaction. For

Time management is the key to any success in life. Life has academic, social, work, and personal
aspects that take time. A successful life with low levels of stress is very hard to achieve with time
management. Usually the end result is chaos and tasks that do not ever become finished. From my
past experience in school, I knew that my previous time management plan wasn't going as good as I
expected, so I decided to change my whole schedule and try to get used to it. However, I should
be able to control of my time and life, of my stress and energy levels. Throughout my weekday at

Cause And Effect Essay On Air Pollution
Pollution has become a prevalent issue worldwide and has begun to affect the air used to breathe,
the soil used to grow food, and the water used to drink. All of these effects result in commonly
occurring destruction of health and wildlife that one may have seen on the news or heard from
peers. In order to live, one needs food, water, clothing, and shelter. If the water and food that society
consumes gets contaminated, a major component of life has been eradicated, which can only have
negative consequences. If more people are educated as to what effects the environment, the world
has a chance to counteract the effects of pollution. The main causes of pollution are the burning of
fossil fuels such as with car exhausts, littering as a result of societal norms and laziness, and factory
waste as a result of lax waste regulation, and can result in mass destruction of the environment and
catastrophic effects on the everyday lives of contemporary people.
The amount of factories and industries has grown immensely through the previous years which has
resulted in an expansion in the consumption of petroleum products. Innovation has begun to increase
and has promoted the expansion of the production of cars. As stated by the Air Quality Research
Center, "Air pollution is one of the most dangerous environmental problems, causing many adverse
health effects and responsible for 50,000 deaths in the U.S. each year" (Air Pollution and Health –

Cause and effect is noting a relationship between actions or events such that one or more are the
result of the other or others. Most things that happening in life have a cause and effect relationship.
Almost everything you do is a cause and will have an effect, or most things you do is an effect of
something that happened or what you done before your actions. An example of a cause and effect
relationship is last year I was in the state tournament, and I was in the semi–finals. I ended up losing,
and I was very angry with myself. I wanted to make it to the finals so bad, but me not making it
made me stronger and it made me push myself for this season. It made me more confident and
more determined. Most situations in every aspect of life is a cause and effect situation and you
can control that situation most of the time. Almost every situation in life is a cause and effect
relationship occurring. For example, right now you are probably in school studying, or doing an
assignment and probably at the end of the week you will have a test on whatever you are working
on. And the results of your test will be the effect to the cause you are doing right now. Most of the
time, what you are doing right now is a cause and later on there will be an effect to what you are
doing now. But you have control over that situation and you get to choose what gets to happen in
that situation. But most people don't realize they could've controlled that situation and done
better until after it happens, but after it happens it is too late and you just have to make another
situation. Sometimes cause and effect can be easy to understand, like if you have dominos lined
up and you push the first one and the others start to fall after you push that first one, that is a
cause and effect situation. You pushing the first one is the cause and the others falling is the
effect. But there is sometimes they can be long situations and hard to understand. For example,
when I wrestle almost every single move I make or every move I make there I an effect to it, like
if I see a kid barely moves his leg and I take a shot and land it, the cause is him barely moving his
leg and the result of that is me taking a shot and landing it. Another long situation

Cause And Effect Essay On Fate And Freewill
If you think of life and existence in general as a canvas, meaning all of time included
simultaneously, the past, present and future. Within that canvas lie certain sets of options(choices)
which are available to us at any given moment. The path that we found ourselves are predetermined
by factors we had no control over. Your genetic make up, for instance, you had nothing to do with.
You can't take credit for not having the brain of a psychopath, the brain of the mentally disabled
person, genetic predisposition to cancer and you name it. The actions of others impact the options
(choices) available to you–the actions of those around affects your will because it can change the
choices that are available to you at any given moment. If certain...show more content...
Your geography and you beliefs determined greatly who you are as a person but no one had a
choice on that during their formative years. So there are so many factors and causes that affect
freewill that's not under the individual's control. Let's acknowledge that. In the context of life
being a canvas you can visualize your life as a specific and unique individual pathway on the
canvas of life with with different choices(options) available as one moves through time. At each
moment in time, different choices are available to you within said predetermined path. The
pathway is already predetermined because all time exist at all time all the time, but within each
moment you're are presented with certain set of choices (different set of choices are available at
different point in time). These choices range from good to evil as far as their impacts are
concerned. So this is why it makes sense to say true freewill doesn't exist but we can make choices
within the predetermined path we find ourselves in. If you think about it from a believer point of
view, it's basically God created everyone differently (predetermined path), with different gifts
(drives) manifested through choices available to us at each moment in time. Evil and good are
natural forces in this world which

Cause And Effect Essay On School Bullying
School bullying is a major issue that can contribute to depression, talking about or showing an
interest in death or dying, and engaging in dangerous or harmful activities. School tormenting goes
unnoticed and this is the reason nothing is being done about this national travesty. Harassing
conduct is not another issue, however in spite of the endeavors of numerous, the issue keeps on
plaguing our understudies and schools (Lawrence). More than 14 percent of secondary school
understudies have considered suicide, and just about 7 percent have endeavored it (Cohn,et. al).
Bullying can hurt the strongest of people and it will tear you apart if you do not get help.
School bullying contributes to deep depression. People do not realize what a person really goes
through on a regular basis and bullying pushes it even further. "Dr. Andre Sourander, a professor
of child psychiatry at the University of Turku in Finland, reported that children who are bullied
in early childhood have an increased risk of depressive disorders and need psychiatric treatment
later in life" (Cari Nierenberg of Live Science.). Moreover, kids who are being exploited to
depression may even progress toward becoming harassers themselves to remove a portion of the
weight. This impact is what drives bullying to new links and never seems to end. Saying hurtful
things to a child who has not even reached the age of adulthood can have a lasting impact on them
that causes depression can linger for the rest of their life.

Attending College Cause And Effect Essay
Causes and Effects of Attending College College has been a place where people can get
knowledge. Attending college is a better way to be successful persons and get many
opportunities in the future. Unless great knowledge harder to find a good job. Every student has
a different reason to study in college, where they can learn their interested subject. It will help
them to achieve a degree in their own field. Another benefit going college is understanding of
different cultures and religions around the world. However, there are many drawbacks. Many
people who spend many years attending college instead doing jobs they cannot earn enough
money. Some student learns bad habits of their friends. Two reasons going to college are a better
career and greater knowledge; two effects of going college are making friends and debt. One
important reason going to college is to make better career. Many colleges provide student intern

Causes And Effects Of Anxiety
Anxiety IS a huge problem among the young generations in today's world. Affecting those from all
ages, many cases originating from around teenage years. I'm sure many of you have had a moment
in your life where anxiety has withered its way into your world affecting the way you do things.
Many cases of anxiety begin in school, which in incredibly inconvenient as the students affected by
it will be wanting to succeed. Anxiety itself is a natural human response that serves a purpose.
Therefore, I believe when it gets out of control we should not think of getting rid of it all together
but more to keep it healthy. As to the causes, though there are many, my top 4 would have to be
bullying, school pressure, the future and fear of failing. What these can do is create unhealthy
thinking patterns which becomes a serious problem among young people when it starts disrupting
their regular routine. I personally think these thinking patterns can very easily turn into diagnosed
disorders such as PTSD, GAD.
Bullying is a very common cause of anxiety among young people today. People who are affected
by some form of bullying often results them having recurring thinking patterns e.g. experiencing
flashbacks, having nightmares, panic attacks, and a lot of them live in the fear that they will
experience it again which in some ways never switches these patterns off. I believe that because
anxiety has this effect where it fully takes control of people's lives, it should be recognized. I'm sure

General purpose: to inform.
Specific purpose: After hearing my speech, my audience will know more what climate change is,
what causes it and its effects now and in the future.
Thesis Statement: Climate change is a very important issue that affects all of us, we need to know
more about this issue.
Organization pattern: Cause and effect.
Introduction:
I.(Attention–getter): When you look at yourself in a dirty mirror; can you see your image very
well? No. The same occurs when the sun rays reflect on the sea and that reflection can't be released
into the space because gasses in the atmosphere block their exit causing the planet to get warmer.
II.Climate change is how the weather has changed in a specific area over a given period of
time–usually 30 years. That means that changes in the weather could be variable or extreme
depends on the region you are. We are seeing these changes every year as the seasons change; I.e.
Usually we compare the weather of the season this year and the weather of the season from the past
year.
III.According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), "Climate change"
encompasses global warming, it refers to the broad range of changes that are happening to our
planet. That means the reason of Climate Change is because the planet is getting warmer and this

Multitasking Cause And Effect Essay
Multitasking effects on Students and Differences Between Genders
In todays day and age, we are exposed to an incredible amount of stimuli. Whether it be from
advertisements on billboards or our handheld electronic devises that grant us wide ranges of
entertainment. Being a current undergraduate student, it seems to be harder than ever to be able to
sit down and focus on a single task or source of entertainment. Why would you limit yourself to only
watching a football game on television, if you could watch the football game and scroll through
social media as well. Habits of multitasking with media have significantly increased during the 2000's
because of the growing uses of information and communication through technology(Roberts, Foehr,
&...show more content...
In a three hour window, students were distracted thirty five times in that three hour window. These
distractions took up nearly 1/6th of the study time (Ackerman, Calderwood, & Conklin, 2014). If
multitasking is making it harder to study, why would students do it? A study found four main
reasons why students multitask with media. Students find that multitasking is more task efficient, it
can be entertaining, it enables people to connect with peers, and some can be addicted to
multitasking in general( Knononva, Chiang, 2015). While multitasking is becoming more and more
abundant, the question whether it is helping or hindering studying is still in question. How well can
humans retain information while focusing on multiple sources at the same time. Is it truly plausible
that we can read and retain information while being distracted by other sources of information.
Trying to determine the effectiveness of multitasking and finding a valid conclusion to it's
effectiveness, could possibly help us better understand our capabilities as humans. These finding
could help us construct expectations and reveal limitations of our capabilities as humans. Doing this
could help us create better study habits and display a correct way to operate as

An Essay on Cause and Effect
Cause and Effect essay: A change in the way you deal with other people
Introduction The human civilization, from the beginning of the times, has been dictated by constant
cultural and social changes. These cultural and social changes did not only have a significant on the
lifestyles of human beings around the world, but it also effected on how people deal with one and
other. It must be noted that human civilization across the globe has remained in the constant process
of evolution and no matter what, this process of evolution could not be resisted and people have to
surrender to change. The process of evolution became even more rapid in the post information
technol.ogy era. This is because human life style not only became faster paced, but also easy and
massive accessibility towards media and telecommunications resulted in greater exposure and
awareness of human mind from a very young age. As a result the generation that belongs to the post
modern era is found to be much more mentally smarter than its older counterparts (Shelden, Tracy &
Brown, 2004). Due to these changes, significant changes were implicated on child development,
teaching styles and general up bringing andof children along with family lifestyles and traditional
ties all around the world.

Cause And Effect Essay On Social Anxiety
None of us are strangers to the feeling of anxiety, after all we are all humans. Nervousness, worries,
and unease over situations are a common thing for everyone. It might be public speaking, meeting a
new person, or being surrounded by a crowd of strangers. These events aren't exactly thrilling to
everyone but most of us get over it. However, when these uncomfortable feelings morphs into fear to
an illness is when life starts becoming a nightmare. How can one live a normal life when even
walking in public seems to bring up feelings of intense fear? This is especially in the case of those
with social anxiety, a social phobia, in which sufferers describe their condition as intense and
persistent often taking over their social life and professional life due to fear of rejection and
disappointment. For people with social anxiety, activities that induces feelings of anxiety even for
normal people, will be extremely stressful for them, completely overwhelming to the point of leading
to a panic attack. Common symptoms include inhibition of speech, frequent slips of tongue, difficult
breathing, and nausea (U.Penn). In extreme cases, it feels as if you are under surveillance at all
times. When this occurs during childhood, without proper care, it can have lasting devastating
consequence and effect that may continue into adult life. Those that live with this mental disorder,
wishes to rid themselves of such liability by seeking help through therapies. Unfortunately, not

David Hume's Theory of Causality Essay
What Came First: The Chicken or the Egg? David Hume moves through a logical progression of
the ideas behind cause and effect. He critically analyzes the reasons behind those generally
accepted ideas. Though the relation of cause and effect seems to be completely logical and based
on common sense, he discusses our impressions and ideas and why they are believed. Hume's
progression, starting with his initial definition of cause, to his final conclusion in his doctrine on
causality. As a result, it proves how Hume's argument on causality follows the same path as his
epistemology, with the two ideas complimenting each other so that it is rationally impossible to
accept the epistemology and not accept his argument on causality. Hume starts by...show more

That argument contradicts itself, because it uses itself as a cause for existence in its premise,
when it is proving the concept of cause being a necessity. Therefore, it begs the question to prove
cause and effect by relying on the conclusion to prove the premise. The ideas of cause and effect
cannot vary too far from actual impressions of the mind or ideas from the memory. We must first
establish the existence of causes before we can infer effects from them. We have only two ways
of doing that, either by an immediate perception of our memory or senses, called impressions, or,
by an inference from other causes, called thoughts. For example, "A man finding a watch or any
other machine in a desert island would conclude that there had once been men in that island"
(160). Regardless of the source of the impression, the imagination and perceptions of the senses
are the foundation for the reasoning that traces the relation of cause and effect. The inference that
we draw from cause to effect does not come from a dependence on the two concepts to each other
or from a rational objective look at the two. One object does not imply the existence of any other.
All distinct ideas are separable, as are the ideas of cause and effect. The only way that we can infer
the existence of one object from another is through experience. Contiguity and succession are not
sufficient to make us pronounce any two objects to be cause and effect, unless we

  • 2. Cause and Effect Essay Child violence is a topic which has exposed itself tremendously with both causes and effects; causes being, poor parenting, environment and exposure, and effects including depression, difficulties in school and criminal behavior. Most people try not to address poor parenting because it can be a very sensitive topic but, it is very important and lack of conversation or teaching can become an issue. We have all been somewhere and witness a child misbehaving and the parent not reprimanding their child. We have also heard stories of how a child may be being abused or witnessing abuse by a parent, guardian or loved one. A child being bullied or rough housing with siblings may also become an issue. Cursing and fighting around a child can...show more content... This could lead to many lifelong problems; such as not continuing school, no job, poverty and ending in depression. Depression and anxiety are two distinct effects of child violence. Often times when a child has grown up witnessing or experiencing violence it affects them for a longtime; sometimes even into adulthood. Sometimes this affects a person socially; they may fine that they are often alone and do not feel like they fit in. Which in some causes can lead to depression. Children that grow up with violence also often deal with anxiety; they usually feel as though they are on edge and never really know what to expect from people or situations, which may also cause them to behave poorly. Criminal behavior can be categorized as another effect of child violence. A great deal of criminals, offenders or even people with some kind of criminal history are known to have been affected by violence or a child. Some of them have come from abusive environments, poor living and social environment, and not being taught well. As stated previously, being abused or witnessing abuses can cause a child to be violent, because it can be a learned habit. Not being taught well goes back to the parents. Some parents just do not discipline well. They may either be too firm or too lenient. Children that do not suffer consequences for poor behavior may feel they will never receive punishment and when they finally do it may be too late. Child violence has many different Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Global Warming : Cause And Effect Global warming (Cause/Effect) Jimareo Kimmons Comp I Dr. Sarthou 10/30/2015 Droughts, lengthy hot spells, heavy downpours, floods, and other extreme weather events are occurring more frequently and intensely every year. Around the world, research teams are analyzing these trends, noting the changes in temperature, rainfall, ice mass, sea level, and many other variables recorded by weather measuring devices. The trends are undeniable: the Earth is getting warmer. Polar sea ice and glaciers are melting, the sea level is rising, and as the oceans absorb more and more carbon dioxide, they are becoming measurably more acidic. Why is this happening? What is the cause of all this global warming? Mostly consisting of water vapor, the atmosphere is a natural layer blanketing the earth and creating what is known as the "greenhouse effect." Normally protecting the planet from temperature extremes, when heat–trapping gasses accumulate in the atmosphere this creates an unnatural "expansion" of the greenhouse effect. The result is global warming. As reported in the 2014 NCA, "Only with the inclusion of human influences can models reproduce the observed temperature changes." Over approximately the past 100 years, the burning of fossil fuels such as oil, gasoline, and coal has increased the concentration of carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere. CO2 is the chemical result of the burning process which occurs when carbon is introduced into oxygen. To a lesser degree, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The four chemicals that will be looked closely at are Calcium Chloride (CaCl2), Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO3), Phenol Red Solution, and Deionized Water (H2O). The chemical changes students will mainly look for is if there is a change of color, heat and/or light generated, gas produced and precipitate formation. Prior to starting the experimentation, students must wear their appropriate personal laboratory attire including, a lab coat, safety goggles, nonlatex gloves, and chemistry lab manual. After successfully conducting the experiment, students must empty contents in a waste disposal bin provided when all reactions are subsided. Students must clean plastic bag with a little water and dispose of it in a bag in the trash. To determine what combinations of chemicals are responsible for each observed changed, students may conduct a series of controlled experiments with the same quantities of chemicals. If chemicals are spilled on a student's body or caught on fire, the best method to put it down is he or she must go to the safety shower, take off their clothes entirely and rinse off the chemicals for at least 15 minutes as recommended by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The same goes if chemicals get caught into the eyes or hands. Remember to carefully handle the chemicals in a cautious and efficient manner, and notify the instructor of any incidents. Phenol red or water mixed with calcium chloride produced heat. It seems as though all calcium chloride needs is a liquid to increase in temperature. No, the controlled experiments became both hot and cold, and so did the overall reaction. For Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 9. Cause And Effect Essay On Air Pollution Pollution has become a prevalent issue worldwide and has begun to affect the air used to breathe, the soil used to grow food, and the water used to drink. All of these effects result in commonly occurring destruction of health and wildlife that one may have seen on the news or heard from peers. In order to live, one needs food, water, clothing, and shelter. If the water and food that society consumes gets contaminated, a major component of life has been eradicated, which can only have negative consequences. If more people are educated as to what effects the environment, the world has a chance to counteract the effects of pollution. The main causes of pollution are the burning of fossil fuels such as with car exhausts, littering as a result of societal norms and laziness, and factory waste as a result of lax waste regulation, and can result in mass destruction of the environment and catastrophic effects on the everyday lives of contemporary people. The amount of factories and industries has grown immensely through the previous years which has resulted in an expansion in the consumption of petroleum products. Innovation has begun to increase and has promoted the expansion of the production of cars. • 11. Cause and effect is noting a relationship between actions or events such that one or more are the result of the other or others. Most things that happening in life have a cause and effect relationship. Almost everything you do is a cause and will have an effect, or most things you do is an effect of something that happened or what you done before your actions. An example of a cause and effect relationship is last year I was in the state tournament, and I was in the semi–finals. I ended up losing, and I was very angry with myself. I wanted to make it to the finals so bad, but me not making it made me stronger and it made me push myself for this season. It made me more confident and more determined. Most situations in every aspect of life is a cause and effect situation and you can control that situation most of the time. Almost every situation in life is a cause and effect relationship occurring. For example, right now you are probably in school studying, or doing an assignment and probably at the end of the week you will have a test on whatever you are working on. And the results of your test will be the effect to the cause you are doing right now. Most of the time, what you are doing right now is a cause and later on there will be an effect to what you are doing now. But you have control over that situation and you get to choose what gets to happen in that situation. But most people don't realize they could've controlled that situation and done better until after it happens, but after it happens it is too late and you just have to make another situation. Sometimes cause and effect can be easy to understand, like if you have dominos lined up and you push the first one and the others start to fall after you push that first one, that is a cause and effect situation. You pushing the first one is the cause and the others falling is the effect. But there is sometimes they can be long situations and hard to understand. For example, when I wrestle almost every single move I make or every move I make there I an effect to it, like if I see a kid barely moves his leg and I take a shot and land it, the cause is him barely moving his leg and the result of that is me taking a shot and landing it. Another long situation Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Cause And Effect Essay On Fate And Freewill If you think of life and existence in general as a canvas, meaning all of time included simultaneously, the past, present and future. Within that canvas lie certain sets of options(choices) which are available to us at any given moment. The path that we found ourselves are predetermined by factors we had no control over. Your genetic make up, for instance, you had nothing to do with. You can't take credit for not having the brain of a psychopath, the brain of the mentally disabled person, genetic predisposition to cancer and you name it. The actions of others impact the options (choices) available to you–the actions of those around affects your will because it can change the choices that are available to you at any given moment. If certain...show more content... Your geography and you beliefs determined greatly who you are as a person but no one had a choice on that during their formative years. So there are so many factors and causes that affect freewill that's not under the individual's control. Let's acknowledge that. In the context of life being a canvas you can visualize your life as a specific and unique individual pathway on the canvas of life with with different choices(options) available as one moves through time. At each moment in time, different choices are available to you within said predetermined path. The pathway is already predetermined because all time exist at all time all the time, but within each moment you're are presented with certain set of choices (different set of choices are available at different point in time). These choices range from good to evil as far as their impacts are concerned. So this is why it makes sense to say true freewill doesn't exist but we can make choices within the predetermined path we find ourselves in. If you think about it from a believer point of view, it's basically God created everyone differently (predetermined path), with different gifts (drives) manifested through choices available to us at each moment in time. Evil and good are natural forces in this world which Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Cause And Effect Essay On School Bullying School bullying is a major issue that can contribute to depression, talking about or showing an interest in death or dying, and engaging in dangerous or harmful activities. School tormenting goes unnoticed and this is the reason nothing is being done about this national travesty. Harassing conduct is not another issue, however in spite of the endeavors of numerous, the issue keeps on plaguing our understudies and schools (Lawrence). More than 14 percent of secondary school understudies have considered suicide, and just about 7 percent have endeavored it (Cohn,et. al). Bullying can hurt the strongest of people and it will tear you apart if you do not get help. School bullying contributes to deep depression. People do not realize what a person really goes through on a regular basis and bullying pushes it even further. "Dr. Andre Sourander, a professor of child psychiatry at the University of Turku in Finland, reported that children who are bullied in early childhood have an increased risk of depressive disorders and need psychiatric treatment later in life" (Cari Nierenberg of Live Science.). Moreover, kids who are being exploited to depression may even progress toward becoming harassers themselves to remove a portion of the weight. This impact is what drives bullying to new links and never seems to end. Saying hurtful things to a child who has not even reached the age of adulthood can have a lasting impact on them that causes depression can linger for the rest of their life. I'm sure many of you have had a moment in your life where anxiety has withered its way into your world affecting the way you do things. Many cases of anxiety begin in school, which in incredibly inconvenient as the students affected by it will be wanting to succeed. Anxiety itself is a natural human response that serves a purpose. Therefore, I believe when it gets out of control we should not think of getting rid of it all together but more to keep it healthy. As to the causes, though there are many, my top 4 would have to be bullying, school pressure, the future and fear of failing. What these can do is create unhealthy thinking patterns which becomes a serious problem among young people when it starts disrupting their regular routine. I personally think these thinking patterns can very easily turn into diagnosed disorders such as PTSD, GAD. Bullying is a very common cause of anxiety among young people today. People who are affected by some form of bullying often results them having recurring thinking patterns e.g. experiencing flashbacks, having nightmares, panic attacks, and a lot of them live in the fear that they will experience it again which in some ways never switches these patterns off. I believe that because anxiety has this effect where it fully takes control of people's lives, it should be recognized. I'm sure Get more content on HelpWriting.net

General purpose: to inform. Specific purpose: After hearing my speech, my audience will know more what climate change is, what causes it and its effects now and in the future. Thesis Statement: Climate change is a very important issue that affects all of us, we need to know more about this issue. Organization pattern: Cause and effect. Introduction: I.(Attention–getter): When you look at yourself in a dirty mirror; can you see your image very well? No. The same occurs when the sun rays reflect on the sea and that reflection can't be released into the space because gasses in the atmosphere block their exit causing the planet to get warmer. II.Climate change is how the weather has changed in a specific area over a given period of time–usually 30 years. That means that changes in the weather could be variable or extreme depends on the region you are. We are seeing these changes every year as the seasons change; I.e. • 17. Multitasking Cause And Effect Essay Multitasking effects on Students and Differences Between Genders In todays day and age, we are exposed to an incredible amount of stimuli. Whether it be from advertisements on billboards or our handheld electronic devises that grant us wide ranges of entertainment. Being a current undergraduate student, it seems to be harder than ever to be able to sit down and focus on a single task or source of entertainment. Why would you limit yourself to only watching a football game on television, if you could watch the football game and scroll through social media as well. Habits of multitasking with media have significantly increased during the 2000's because of the growing uses of information and communication through technology(Roberts, Foehr, &...show more content... In a three hour window, students were distracted thirty five times in that three hour window. These distractions took up nearly 1/6th of the study time (Ackerman, Calderwood, & Conklin, 2014). If multitasking is making it harder to study, why would students do it? A study found four main reasons why students multitask with media. Students find that multitasking is more task efficient, it can be entertaining, it enables people to connect with peers, and some can be addicted to multitasking in general( Knononva, Chiang, 2015). While multitasking is becoming more and more abundant, the question whether it is helping or hindering studying is still in question. How well can humans retain information while focusing on multiple sources at the same time. Is it truly plausible that we can read and retain information while being distracted by other sources of information. Trying to determine the effectiveness of multitasking and finding a valid conclusion to it's effectiveness, could possibly help us better understand our capabilities as humans. These finding could help us construct expectations and reveal limitations of our capabilities as humans. Doing this could help us create better study habits and display a correct way to operate as Get more content on HelpWriting.net

An Essay on Cause and Effect Cause and Effect essay: A change in the way you deal with other people Introduction The human civilization, from the beginning of the times, has been dictated by constant cultural and social changes. These cultural and social changes did not only have a significant on the lifestyles of human beings around the world, but it also effected on how people deal with one and other. It must be noted that human civilization across the globe has remained in the constant process of evolution and no matter what, this process of evolution could not be resisted and people have to surrender to change. The process of evolution became even more rapid in the post information technol.ogy era. This is because human life style not only became faster paced, but also easy and massive accessibility towards media and telecommunications resulted in greater exposure and awareness of human mind from a very young age. As a result the generation that belongs to the post modern era is found to be much more mentally smarter than its older counterparts (Shelden, Tracy & Brown, 2004). Due to these changes, significant changes were implicated on child development, teaching styles and general up bringing andof children along with family lifestyles and traditional ties all around the world. • 20. David Hume's Theory of Causality Essay What Came First: The Chicken or the Egg? David Hume moves through a logical progression of the ideas behind cause and effect. He critically analyzes the reasons behind those generally accepted ideas. Though the relation of cause and effect seems to be completely logical and based on common sense, he discusses our impressions and ideas and why they are believed. Hume's progression, starting with his initial definition of cause, to his final conclusion in his doctrine on causality. As a result, it proves how Hume's argument on causality follows the same path as his epistemology, with the two ideas complimenting each other so that it is rationally impossible to accept the epistemology and not accept his argument on causality. Hume starts by...show more content... That argument contradicts itself, because it uses itself as a cause for existence in its premise, when it is proving the concept of cause being a necessity. Therefore, it begs the question to prove cause and effect by relying on the conclusion to prove the premise. The ideas of cause and effect cannot vary too far from actual impressions of the mind or ideas from the memory. We must first establish the existence of causes before we can infer effects from them. We have only two ways of doing that, either by an immediate perception of our memory or senses, called impressions, or, by an inference from other causes, called thoughts. For example, "A man finding a watch or any other machine in a desert island would conclude that there had once been men in that island" (160). Regardless of the source of the impression, the imagination and perceptions of the senses are the foundation for the reasoning that traces the relation of cause and effect. The inference that we draw from cause to effect does not come from a dependence on the two concepts to each other or from a rational objective look at the two. One object does not imply the existence of any other. All distinct ideas are separable, as are the ideas of cause and effect. The only way that we can infer the existence of one object from another is through experience. Contiguity and succession are not sufficient to make us pronounce any two objects to be cause and effect, unless we Get more content on HelpWriting.net
