TULIP FESTIVAL
The Tulip garden in Kashmir is designed
in such a way that in a first glimpse, one
can see a parallel rows of bright coloured
tulips lined up.
This garden is carved out of seven terraces
which creates a gently sloped ground
which gives a view of the entire garden
from any direction.
NAVRATRI
The word Navratri is a combination of two
Sanskrit words - Nav, which means the
number 9, and Ratra, which means night.
Goddess Durga and her many
incarnations are worshipped during the
nine days of Navratri. Navratri occurs five
times a year.

BAISAKHI
• Baisakhi is celebrated throughout the
country on the 13th of April and is a
prominent festival of the Sikhs.
• The day is celebrated as the New Year
by Sikhs in India. This date embarks
the harvesting season in India.
UTTARAYAN
• Also known as Makar Sankranti, it is one
of the main festivals of Gujarat that is
dedicated to the deity of the Sun God.
• It is also known as the harvest festival of
Gujarat as the time when the harvest
season begins with the summer solstice.
