1. Props
Secondly on my list for needed props would be the car. As my dad was working over Christmas, the
car we have within our family was not available to use, however luckily my family were doing from
Liverpool so I could film the, but again first I had to ask permission because it is a large ask to use
someone’s car for filming purposes. Luckily I was allowed to use it with the permission from my
auntie. I decided to use the car instead of a getaway on foot heist because it just seemed more
realistic. The car I used was a ford focus; I liked the idea of using this as it was inconspicuous and
would not be picked up by anyone that would look at it if you were checking out a line up. One
problem with the car situation would have to be that as I was the driver, and I am under 16, I would
have to watch out who saw me, despite the car being stationary!
Thirdly, I would be using two types of weapon, a machine gun and a hand gun, with the use of sound
effects I will add in cocking sounds for effect. I am using these as props because it would not be a
typical bank heist sequence without them, although this does conform to the conventions, I feel that
it would help along the viewing and make it more high tempo.
The number one prop that I needed would have
to be the masks that I will use for my movie
opening, because I had no budget for my movie, I
decided to email the drama department to as if
they had anything that I could use to film (email
to the left). I needed the masks to fit the image
of having a bank heist scene, without them I feel
that it would have looked stupid thus I asked;
luckily I was allowed to use them for my film!
This is an important feature as it would follow
the convention of a crime thriller type feature.
