8. Culminating Activities
Comprehensive Exam
• Written examination taken at the
end of the program
• Includes a case scenario and
open-ended questions that allow
you to display your skills at
writing, critical thinking, analysis,
and application of theory to
practice
• Students have two opportunities
to pass the exam
• The professional seminar class,
in particular, along with all other
courses will aid students in
preparation for the exam

Requirements:
n Earned a baccalaureate degree from
accredited institutions of higher education
with a GPA in upper division of 3.0 or above
n Demonstrated educational leadership
potential and skills including successful
experience in school, college, or the
community
n Demonstrated academic excellence, problem-
solving ability, and an interest in higher
education leadership, students, administration
or advocacy
n Three confidential recommendation forms
attesting to the professional potential and
ability of the candidate
n Written statement of purpose
n Professional resume
n On-campus interview with the Admissions
Committee
