1) Describe the overall topic of your Senior Project.
The overall topic of my senior project is to examine a person who works in the field of Music
Ministryto learn about the job and its requirements, and to make a program that is a 6 months for
the churchchoir rehearsal, songs, times, dates, specials days and performances.
2) What is your previous experience in this area of study?
My overall experience in this area of study is volunteering with First Baptist of Canton by
leadingworship with two other making us the middle school band, and being called by God when
I was 16.
3) To what career will you connect this project (required)?
I will connect this career with Music Ministry, or a Choir Director.
4) Describe what you are proposing to do for your Product step-by-step and in detail. Write on
theback of this sheet if necessary.
For my senior project first, I will be learning all about the job of Music Ministry and what it
requiresyou to do. I will be learning people skills as in building relationships with the people and
the pastor, working administrative procedures etc. I will also have to learn many organization
skills as inorganizing music books, finances, funerals, weddings or preparing for special events. I
will also needleadership skills as in knowing what to do if someone doesn’t show up or is sick,
training others, assisting others, and learn many other things that are a part of the job. Once I have
learned those skillsand know what it takes, I will construct the schedule for an all year program
which will be myproduct, my product will contain the schedule for, songs, dates of solos, times
of practices, andspecial performances as in Christmas, Easter, and Independence Day etc. I will
also spend manyhours with my project facilitator; his name is Aaron Hodges and he will be
teaching me everything Ineed to know about Music Ministry.
2. 5) How is this projecta “learning stretch” and a challenge for you?
The project is a learning sketch because I want to learn more about my future career and to
gainexperience. I believe it will be a challenge because being a worship leader takes a lot of
organization, responsibility, dedication, humbleness, righteous manner, and the spiritual aspect of
the position aswell as many others characteristics.
6) What are your estimated costs for completing the Product, and how will you fund these
costs? The estimated costs for my project will be nothing, because I am learning about Music
Ministry andconstructing a binder. I already have all of the materials needed.
7) Who have you chosen (or are considering choosing) as your Project Facilitator?
The person I have chosen for my senior project facilitator is the choir director from First
BaptistCanton. His name is Aaron Hodges.
8) What is this person’s expertise in this field?
Aaron’s expertise in this field is working as a choir director at First Baptist Canton, as well as
manyother churches.
