The Senior Project is subject to the plagiarism policies set forth by the district and Creekview High
School.

1) Describe the overall topic of your Senior Project.

The overall topic for my Senior Project will be to organize a presentation by local agencies to
address women empowerment topics, such as body image, verbal abuse, gender stereotypes, societal
gender roles, and sisterhood for young girls in my community.

2) What is your previous experience in this area of study?

I have no previous experiences in this field of study.

3) To what career will you connect this project (required)?

The career I would connect this project would be Psychology, a Psychologist.

4) Describe what you are proposing to do for your Product step-by-step and in detail. Write on the
back of this sheet if necessary.

I plan to organize a presentation for young girls in my community. First, I will meet with local
agencies that specialize in empowering women. These agencies will provide speakers to address
certain issues on women empowerment or be local women who have experienced women
empowerment through their lives. Next, I will find a location and date for the presentation to be held;
then, I will book the location and finalize the speakers and presentation. After that, I will advertise the
presentation and hand our flyer to my surrounding neighborhoods and local schools. Finally, I will
have the presentation take place, and hopefully it will change, inspire some of the young girls. My
final project will be a scrapbook demonstrating all of my steps, speakers, and the actual event.

5) How is this project a “learning stretch” and a challenge for you?

This project is a learning stretch for me because I have never planned a presentation with
multiple speakers, nor have I organized a planned event. Therefore, I will have to learn all of the
aspects it takes to organize a presentation.
6) What are your estimated costs for completing the Product, and how will you fund these costs?

My estimated cost for this project will be one hundred dollars; I will come up with these funds
by donations.

7) Who have you chosen (or are considering choosing) as your Project Facilitator?

I have considered picking Jill Glen for my Project Facilitator.

8) What is this person’s expertise in this field?

Jill is a social worker who has worked with many young girls over the years. Also, she has
empowered many of these girls to learn new skills and spread their wings.
