projects will be submitted to a committee for final approval. This form must be completed and
returned to your senior English teacher by Friday, August 17, 2012. You will not be allowed to
change your topic after October 12, 2012.
The Senior Project is subject to the plagiarism policies set forth by the district and Creekview High
School.
1) Describe the overall topic of your Senior Project.
I will be extreme couponing at a grocery store to a value of $1000 and then giving the groceries to Must
Ministries.
2) What is your previous experience in this area of study?
I have couponed with my mother for two years now.
3) To what career will you connect this project (required)?
Finance management/accounting
4) Describe what you are proposing to do for your Product step-by-step and in detail. Write on the
back of this sheet if necessary.
Firstly, I have to organize a date at which I will be doing the shopping trip for coupons to be usable at that
time, as well as gather friends to override the purchases per customer. When the date is coming near, close to a
month before, I will spend many hours gathering coupons and calculating prices to determine and make sure all
items purchase will end up being free with a coupon. After the shopping trip, I will donate my goods to Must
Ministries.
5) How is this project a “learning stretch” and a challenge for you?
It will be a learning stretch because I have had no previous experience in the field of finance and money
because my parents have been responsible for that. Now that I am about to live life on my own, I need to learn
how to manage money, especially concerning coupons, and it will prepare me for the future. It will be a
challenge because much preparation will be going into the project, and a mistake will be extremely bad on my
part because I will have to pay for it.
6) What are your estimated costs for completing the Product, and how will you fund these costs?
The price of a grocery store membership and the tax for the shopping trip. I will be using my own money
from my tutoring job if any mistakes are made.
