Diana recently graduated and has been struggling to find a full-time job for the past 3 months. She has sent out her resume to many jobs both that match and don't fully match her profile as she starts to feel desperate. In interviews, Diana feels panel interviews don't suit her personality and she has been rejected for reasons like being too young or inexperienced. While she is improving, Diana is growing tired of feeling useless without a job and is considering other options like starting her own business or pursuing a master's degree.
2. Interview
I interviewed 3 different people with different
job/graduation situations and selected 1:
● Diana has just graduated 3 months ago and
is looking for a job.
3. “I started looking (before graduation) but I couldn’t go to the interviews or they rejected me
because they needed full time people immediately.”
“Not immediately, of course I would like to have a job when I finished but since I didn't I took
some time off to rest and enjoy.”
“I made a list of places I would like to work and updated my CV in every online job database I
could”
“I used to send my CV to those vacancies where I fulfilled every requirement but I’m
starting to get desperate and I’m sending my CV almost everywhere that I think I
could do the work even if they don’t ask for my profile.”
“I've had some interviews but in almost all I didn't had luck ”
“I´m tired of panel interviews, they aren’t made for me, between the competence and
my personality they don’t look at me.”
SAY
4. “I’ve rejected some offers mostly because money, some of them were too far from
home and if I moved I would not be able to afford it.”
“Too young, too inexperienced, not the profile we're looking for or even told
me that someone from the company got the job” (reasons they reject her)
“I´m thinking other options like having my own business but I'm not sure, also
thinking about a Master but that’s the last option”
“Also I’m feeling like my social life is going down It’s difficult for us to gather all.”
“Yes, I’ve read some articles that help me with my personal appearance and what
is correct to say and what not” (interview advice)
“You have to practice and that helps you to have a better result. I’m definitely
better now than when I started” (at interviews)
“At first It was nice to be like in “vacations” but now i’m feeling useless and hate that
feeling, and also I need money!”

5. Think
● Diana thought It would be very easy to find a job.
● Employers are very difficult to please.
● Don’t understand employers and what they want.
● There’s another way to get the jobs, by recommendation.
● She has not luck yet but think she is improving though.
● Internet is the best way to find job offers
● She is smart but she thinks to much and get nervous, is
having a hard time improvising in the interviews.
THINK
6. Diana is feeling a little desperate sad and disappointed.
But she is feeling positive because she is doing better in the interviews.
She doesn’t want to take a “bad” offer just because she is desperate.
Wants to find one job that it’s a great place to work.
Feel
7. How she looks for jobs?
Gets in the online job databases and looks for new jobs and send her curriculum, 3
times a day.
For an interview she prepares her CV according to the place where she is going
DO
8. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Diana needs a way to improve her first impression Because Employers aren’t
seeing all her potential.
