- my experience: same patterns emerged I found myself using the same things over and over started looking for some code
- What does it do? - standardises your dev - handles all your page stuff - loading - transitions - deep linking
- These were made with gaia. Hundreds more - gaia, written / maintained by SS updates it all the time. version 3.2.0 based on RoR ideas, scaffolding, iterative development as2 or as3
- learning curve use them properly don’t know if they’ll break could be obselete
- Use as much as you need - open source - writes out flash files for you - everything is configurable - events
- Once installed you start with the project panel - do everything in here - replaces the missing old flash project panel - set up a project
