42 billion dollars. It is based on France(Rhone, Garland district, Lyon). Sanofi
primarily manufactures various kinds of medicines & vaccines. The company’s
business units include diabetes, cardiovascular, and cancerous drugs.
 Special drugs: Sanofi Genzyme ( speciality care), Sanofi Pasteur(vaccines)
 Total entrepreneurship: Sanofi has it’s branch in more than 142countries and
markets its products quite elegantly.

There are two boilers in Sanofi at the engineering department. Which possess the capacity
such as; 3 ton/hour and 2 ton/hour. Those machines are made from UK.
Brand: Cochran.
Maintained pressure: 75 Siemens
Feed water temperature: 55 degree centigrade.

30. Chiller:-
Chiller mainly produces chill water. There are 4 chillers at the engineering department. There
two types of filter that a chiller utilizes. Filters are ;
Primary filters and ii. Secondary filters.

31. Engineering Department:-
Calibration: It’s been done on the basis of a single a criterion. It's important for the standardization of the machine.
Qualification: It is a standardization process. But, it's been done on the basis of several criteria.
PROJECT: Whenever, a new machine or, equipment or, something new needs to be used or, something like that then,
PROJECT is used. Example: Calibrating a new machine.
BOILER: Boils the water and produces the steam. There are two boiler machine in Sanofi .Capacity wise it’s been
divided into two classes ;@2ton/hr &@3ton/hr.
Compressed air: it primarily compresses the air .There are three ;Compressed air machine.
Chiller: There are 4 chiller in Sanofi Bangladesh ltd. It chills the water .Water into the chillers at the temperature 12 and
then, it dwindles to 7 degree centigrade when it is outputted.
HVAC SYSTEM: There are 16 HVAC system in the Sanofi.It controls; the air pressure and humidity. This part is checked
by Q.A. department.

32. Engineering Department:-
 Softener tank: there are several softener tanks in SANOFI BANGLADESH LTD. It mainly reduces the solid level in
the water to reduce the corrosion to purify the water.
There are two types of generators in the Sanofi Bangladesh Ltd. There are totally 7 active generators ;
C4:There are 5 generators in C4 building. Capacity wise :1.250 watt,2.500*2(watt),3.750*2(watt)
CPS: There are two generators: total capacity of these two generators: 2(M.W.) .
Engineering department has 4 buildings to work on mainly; which are:-
***T-7,T-7A,T-11&T-12,T-13.
