Having clarified the above, I present the intelligences
that Gardner proposes from his research:
1. Linguistic intelligence.
2. Logical-mathematical intelligence.
3. Visual-spatial intelligence.
4. Body and kinesthetic intelligence.
5. Musical Intelligence.
. Intrapersonal intelligence
7. Interpersonal intelligence.
8. Naturalistic Intelligence
Each of them maintains its own elements to attend the
diversity of students and meet their teaching trends -
learning. Giving us the opportunity as educators to clarify
from which intelligence each child has more possibilities
to learn.
What intelligences are strengthened in me
Person?
Musical Intelligence
Gradner argued that intelligence is not a single academic
capacity of an individual, but rather a combination of nine
different kinds of intelligences.
Musical intelligence is dedicated to how skillful an individual
is performing, composing, and appreciating music and musical
patterns. People who excel in this intelligence typically are
able to use rhythms and patterns to assist in learning. Not
surprisingly, musicians, composers, band directors, disc jockeys
and music critics are among those that Gardner sees as having
high musical intelligence.
Encouraging students to enhance their musical intelligence means
using the arts (music, art, theatre, dance) to develop students'
skills and understanding within and across disciplines.
There are, however, some researchers who feel that musical
intelligence should be viewed not as an intelligence but
viewed instead as a talent. They argue that by musical
intelligence is categorized as a talent because it does not
have to change to meet life demands.
Why do I think those intelligences were strengthened and not
others?
I think that this intelligence is easier since the students
carry out their activities with music, especially sometimes they
ask in classes to listen to music so that they are relaxed in
the classroom.
