General suggestion: A little break after each challenge, where we interrupt the programme with our
logo instead of using ads? So our show will feel more realistic?
Use words associated with university, academics, but also battle and fighting?
RIKU:
Hello and welcome to Uni-versus, where the wise and old face off the young and bold. Today we will be
hosting a battle of the ages to see who is the best at university life. I’m Riku.
GRAHAM:
And I’m Graham and we will be your hosts for today. So lets meet the contestants.
RIKU:
First up the - scholars – lecturers introduce themselves – name, age, subject
GRAHAM:
And the challengers – students introduce themselves – name, age, subject
RIKU:
Let’s see who will come out on top in this battle of will and skill. So last week we asked you what
challenges you’d like our contestant to face and we picked the three most popular ones. The first
challenge today will test our contestant’s will.
This is: Chubby Bunny. Chubby Bunny. -- maybe use another name? let them say Uni-versus or
something more related to our show and the university life?
GRAHAM:
In this challenge, each team chooses one combatant to come forth (maybe use ‘one brave soul’,
‘Champion’ instead?) and stuff as many marshmallows into their mouths as possible. But here’s the
kicker: You need to be able to say the words Chubby Bunny.
RIKU:
The person with most marshmallows in their mouth to pronounce an audible “Chubby Bunny” wins. And
you can’t swallow them! Students
*Presenters pick a team in loose dialogue*
1st challenge is finished, presenters move on;
RIKU:
And now, for the next one … we know you’re wise but are you penny wise? (use ‘were’ because the
challenge is already finished?)
Earlier today we sent our teams on a shopping challenge, we gave them a tenner, a shopping list and a
set time to find out who can manage money better. So let’s see how they got on.
*Presenters and contestants comment on their own
performance*
2. GRAHAM:
Wow that was a tough call. Let’s see your grades/marks...
*Results are given through an sealed envelope (1st class,
etc.)*
*Room for a little banter between the presenters about the
performance of ‘their’ team*
GRAHAM:
if it’s a tie:
Now things are getting more exciting. Both our teams have the chance to win.
Who will be the king/queen/another title of Uni-versus?
Your question will be answered, after you answered ours.
if one team is better:
At this point we can stop the battle and declare a winner, right?
RIKU:
Wrong! Team name (team with no points) may have lost 2 battles, but they can still win the war in our
last, explosive round. We’re playing All or Nothing!
A breathtaking round of questions. I hope you’re are ready, because your extra reading material will not
help you.
GRAHAM:
It is all about general knowledge!
