2. Origins
• Kebab means “grilled meat” in Persian.
• It is made with lamb and beef, also
chicken and fish can be used in some
variants.
• It appeared in India and Pakistan.
• Consists of a rotating piece of meat. It was
invented by two different cookers.
3. Döner Kebab
• Döner Kebab, literally "rotating meat", are
pieces of lamb or chicken marinated and
roasted on a vertical lathe. The döner
kebab is usually served in a round loaf
and crushed characteristic of Balkan
cuisine and the Near East called "pita"
with salad, or sometimes with bread or
chips.
4. Shish kebab
• The Shish kebab (kebap in Turkish)
consists of a metal or wooden stick with
small blocks of various types of meat or
fish with or without vegetables, which is
roasted on a grill. The plants are
commonly used eggplant, tomatoes,
peppers, carrots and mushrooms.
