What Is Self Worth Essay
Your self worth is more important than you think, many people don't realize that it is an important
asset to your everyday life. Self–worth, self–esteem, and self–respect are the three things that many
people struggle with. No matter how ugly people can be you have to keep in mind you are as
worthy as anybody else. People criticize one another without realizing the damage that is done to
their piers. I will be showing you some steps that have helped me gain respect for myself. Step 1
is to never compare yourself to anybody else and to love yourself . Step 2 is to surround yourself
with supportive people. Step 3 is to always talk positive about yourself. Step 1 is to never
compare yourself to anybody else to love yourself . Its natural for us to compare ourselves to
others, but it doesn't improve our status, make us a better person, or secure our happiness. In
many cases its does the opposite by making us feel bad about ourselves. For example, i used to
compare myself to other people who were way prettier and thinner than me. Comparing myself to
them wasn't helping me at all it was just bringing myself esteem down, building more of my
insecurities up, just making me be so negative. But i noticed by doing that it wasn't helping me feel
any better about myself it was just doing the opposite. What helped me stop was that i started to
learn how to love my self just the way I am, i realized that every human has their own insecurities.
Loving yourself is very important, do not

Illustration Paragraph
So, let 's suppose that you have done some brainstorming to develop your thesis. What else should
you keep in mind as you begin to create paragraphs? Every paragraph in a paper should be
Unified–All of the sentences in a single paragraph should be related to a single controlling idea
(often expressed in the topic sentence of the paragraph).
Clearly related to the thesis–The sentences should all refer to the central idea, or thesis, of the paper
(Rosen and Behrens 119).
Coherent–The sentences should be arranged in a logical manner and should follow a definite plan
for development (Rosen and Behrens 119).
Well–developed–Every idea discussed in the paragraph should be adequately explained and
supported through evidence and details...show more content...
Step 4. Explain the example(s)
The next movement in paragraph development is an explanation of each example and its relevance
to the topic sentence and rationale that were stated at the beginning of the paragraph. This
explanation shows readers why you chose to use this/or these particular examples as evidence to
support the major claim, or focus, in your paragraph.
Continue the pattern of giving examples and explaining them until all points/examples that the
writer deems necessary have been made and explained. NONE of your examples should be left
unexplained. You might be able to explain the relationship between the example and the topic
sentence in the same sentence which introduced the example. More often, however, you will need to
explain that relationship in a separate sentence. Look at these explanations for the two examples in
the slave spirituals paragraph:
Model explanation for example A– When slaves sang this song, they could have been speaking of
their departure from this life and their arrival in heaven; however, they also could have been
describing their plans to leave the South and run, not to Jesus, but to the North.
Model explanation for example B–[The relationship between example B and the main idea of the
paragraph 's controlling idea is clear enough without adding another sentence to

Baseball Essay examples
Baseball is a game of skill that is played with a hard ball and a bat between two teams of nine
players each at a time on the playing field at once. Although many different people play Baseball
all over the world it is most popular in the United States. It is so popular in fact, it is referred to as
the national pastime of the United States because of the tradition and popularity associated with the
game. Baseball consists of many complicated rules. It also has a very elaborate history. One can not
fully understand the game America has grown to love until learning about not only the rules but also
the history. HISTORY A popular legend of the history of baseball claims that Abner Doubleday, who
was a Union officer during the American...show more content...
In each half of an inning one team bats while the other plays the field. If the score is tied after
nine innings are over then the game is continued into extra innings and is concluded when one
team is winning after an extra inning. These are the basic rules of baseball. THE FIELD AND
EQUIPMENT Baseball is played on a field, which usually covers about two acres. The field is
divided into an infield and an outfield. These two parts are considered fair territory and the rest
of the field is considered foul. The infield is in the shape of a diamond and is 90 ft on each side.
One point of the diamond is home plate which batters hit from. The other three points are bases:
first, second, and third base. In the middle of the diamond is a pitchers mound which is slightly
raised off the ground. The edges of the diamond from home plate to first base and home plate to
third base are the foul lines, which extend all the way to the wall in the outfield. Behind first base
is right field, behind second base is called center field, and behind third base is called left field.
Fences are placed at the farthest limits in the outfield. In foul territory beyond the foul lines in the
infield are dugouts where players sit when they are not playing or waiting to bat. Baseball also
consists of many pieces of equipment. Baseball equipment includes the following: a hard ball
which has a cork center and has a circumference of 9 in., a bat made out of wood or

Essay on Graphic Design
Graphic Design Any paper you pick up was put together using graphic design. It is a very widely
used art form incorporated into many different projects. The ultimate purpose is to communicate.
The field takes a lot of knowledge to be able to produce a finished and printed product (Rogers,
interview). Graphic design is an art that uses skill, information, and technology to communicate to
the world. Graphic design, even though it may not have been called that, has evolved with
technology. It always has been here to get our thoughts across, but they didn't always use pictures
and color. Graphic design started out as typography, letter writing, which quickly gained popularity.
Carvings in wood blocks were used as stamps before Johan...show more content...
We use the written word to inform or identify, but incorporating the art of design into a project
creates a more forceful persuasion. Package design, while informing the consumer and
identifying what they are looking at, persuades them to buy the product or service. Even book
design incorporates information, but the book jackets may try to persuade the consumer
(Hurlburt 23). The art of composing information to persuade and create identity in any piece is a
complex process. The logo is the most difficult piece of graphic design. The designer has to be
able to make a portrayal of the company from scratch. The logo has to be able to fit on a stamp or
be as big as a billboard. A company communicates to anyone who runs across their logo,
advertisements, menus, or mailer. Even a logo speaks. Logos are important visual representations
of a business. The colors show what kind of people they are. If the colors are bright and cheery, you
have a down to earth, happy image. When business uses a monotonous, dull, deep red or green, they
give out the more sophisticated image.
If the company logo consists of only a small forest, then the consumer will know the business is
near a forest, using a forest, or has something to do with trees or forests. (Hopefully your designer is
more creative to give you something more than trees and your company name.) Just by giving out
the name of the business, usually the consumer will figure out what type of

Surrealism Essay
Surrealism
Surrealism was one of the most influential artistic movements of the 20th Century. AndrГ© Breton
consolidated Surrealism as a movement in the early 1920s, trying to achieve the "total liberation of
the mind and of all that resembles it[1]" through innovative and varied ideas. Surrealism deeply
influenced the world in the era between the two world wars and played a big role in the diffusion and
adoption of psychology worldwide. Surrealism faded after World War II, but its revolutionary genius
has influenced every artistic movement ever since.
It is hard to define and give shape to Surrealism. Surrealism and abstract art have similar origins, "but
they diverge on their interpretation of what those origins mean to the...show more content...
Nonetheless, one cannot truly comprehend Surrealism without delving further into the Surrealist
Movement itself.
AndrГ© Breton ran the Surrealist Movement with impressive discipline and rigidity, making an
interesting contrast between what the Surrealists preached and the management style of its leader.
An interesting story, for example, tells how Salvador DalГ, one of the most prominent members of
the Surrealist movement, attended a New York costume party dressed up as Charles Lindbergh's
son, who had been recently kidnapped and murdered. New York's society did not take the statement
well and eventually made DalГ apologize for his behavior. Breton, however, almost dismissed him
from Movement because he claimed that "no one should excuse himself for a Surrealist act[6]." This
anecdote demonstrates the seriousness of Breton and his Movement towards its final objective:
revolution and the slashing of society's conventions in the interest of a subconscious reality.
At the beginning, the Surrealist Movement had political ties to the Communist party and was
determined to make a revolution. With time, however, the group dropped its direct ties to
communism and concentrated in spreading their own doctrine. The Surrealist Movement

Essay about Digital Art Technology
Digital Art Technology
Technology is constantly growing and changing our ways of living. It makes life easier at times,
and more interesting too. When one would think of art in the past, usually computers and
technology did not come to mind. Now because of modern technology, the digital age is uncovering
vast ways to create amazing works of art through computer tools and software. Art is now digitally
created and can appear unbelievable to the modern eye.
Digital art technology is in some ways, a form of art that can be constructed on a computer based
template and still portray an artistГ•s rendition but in a mechanical manner. Г’As early as 1912, the
futurists planned moving sculptures driven by machine, in which the...show more content...
Photoshop was a great new technology and contributor for digital art at that time.
Г’Today, computers are found in almost every area of art, though with varying degrees of
success, acceptance, and originality.Г“ (57, Wolf) Classical art is obviously the most widespread
acceptable form of art. Acceptable meaning known; People around the world could tell you
theyГ•ve heard of Michelangelo or Picasso. Classical art and digital art have certain similarities,
but far more differences. Both forms of art begin with the artistГ•s view of an idea or concept.
They both have creative attributes and qualities that are controlled by the artist and viewed by an
audience. Evidently, there is different media used in each form. Where classical artist may use a
paintbrush and a canvas to create a painting, a digital artist would use software like Photoshop
though a computer to create an image. However now, artists can even imitate media like watercolor,
charcoal, markers, and even oil pastels with certain software digitally.
There are two kinds of computer based art that uses the computer as a tool for creating the work.
The two kinds are computer–assisted art and computer–created art. Г’In computer–assisted art, an
application like a paintbox or music program is used in creation of a work. Computer–created art
begins with an algorithm written by the artist, which when run, produces a work, usually with some
element of randomness involved so that

American Illustration
After have dinner with a group of illustrator friends, posters on street inadvertently grabs my
attention. Walking on a familiar path to home, I see posters are secretly glued on coner of wall,
showed on large screen at side of street, passing around like booklet... if every poster stands for an
event, then it is surprising to notice such many events are silently on going around me.
My major is animation, so my first though on illustration is that: posters are still frame picture with
better detail crafted. Most illustration art and design on these posters are high quliaty in my point
of view, yet many of them are having a familiar feeling. I point at an illustration on a flyer, it is a
image of a cute girl drawn in manga style, and I asked my firend Lin Na how she thinks about this
illustration in her profession point of view. Lin has worked as illustrator more than ten years and
have lectured in our local university serveral times. "I am not a pro." Said by Lin with a wry
smile:" For this kind of commercial illustration, clients belives in other popular illustration works

Illustration As An Illustration
1.What is illustration?
It's very difficult to give a precise definition to the term " illustration " . Some people think of the
illustrated manuals from Ikea , while someone else thinks about the illustrated children's book by
Chris Haughton.
Illustration is a unique art form that is not defined by the media , but by its context. Illustrations
bring life into concepts and stories.
Whether they are created digitally or manually , illustrations can be both a masterful work of art as a
practical, business apply.
2.Where do Illustrators work?
Images and illustrations are all around us. The most obvious images are book covers , t–shirts , and
so on but in addition , you also have the more subtle artworks as decorative items and lighting.

This type of illustrator creates illustrations for magazines and newspapers.
These illustrations are often briefed by an art director . Usually these contracts have also a very short
deadline, maybe even several days because magazines and newspapers often appear weekly or
monthly. The size can vary from a few small doodles to a greatillustration spread across a double
page .
2.Publishing
Book publishing – in any form or medium whatsoever – is a major source of income for illustrators.
The main categories are : fiction, non –fiction, educational children's books , comic books and
graphic novels and finally youth literature. For these types of assignments illustrators usually get a
longer period to come to a final product.
3.Design & Advertising
Images for design & advertising are usually commissioned through an agency on behalf of an end
client.
Corporate clients may require images for a whole range of contexts that need to perform varied
functions across print and digital platforms. This can include logo's, website's, brochures,
newsletters, direct mail to potential customers, annuel reports and in –house promotional material
such as cards, posters and

Animation Essay
Animation
My personal enjoyment with animation has inspired me to write this essay, pertaining to animation.
Since I was a child I have been fascinated with cartoons; from when they started out to be black and
white, and until now with full colour and computer effects. To better perceive what mypersonal
feelings about animation are, I must first discuss in full detail, a general overview of how animators
bring traditional animation alive with motion.
Animation seems like a smooth movement of drawn sequences of artwork, pasted together to form a
single sequence of animation. This is the basis of animation, but animation is far simpler than it may
seem. "The true meaning...show more content...
Because so many personnel are involved in producing a single piece of animated film, creation of
this is very costly. Companies must create a team of animators that are willing to work together to
get the finished product perfect the first time around. No matter how modest or ambitious the
project, the team of animators follow a strict number of structured procedures, and must possess the
understanding of the concepts and terminology in traditional animation.
When the team has been assembled. The team begins a long process of set procedures, which all
animators worldwide use. Below the many set procedures are described in full detail.
1.Script
The script is the first stage in all film production. In an animation script, the visual action in the plot
and performance is far more important than the dialogue.
2.Storyboard
The storyboard is a series of roughly drawn images that convey the action described in the script.
This scene–by–scene portrayal helps the writer, director and animation team to access the content of
the project and to correct any deficiencies in the scripted story.
3.Soundtrack
After the script and storyboard are completed, the recording of any dialogue or key music is
undertaken. Since traditional animation relies on perfect synchronization of the

Bear Hunt Illustration
The children's book We're Going on a Bear Hunt utilises the switching between black and white
illustrations and full colour effectively. The pages of the story that are in black and white occur
when the family meet an obstacle, such as 'long wavy grass', and once they have overcome said
obstacle the illustration returns to colour. It repeats in this manner throughout the picture books
entirety. In doing this, the illustrator has emphasised the texts gloominess and foreboding of what the
family will have to do ('we have to go through it').
The way this text has been structured by combining the aperture, exposition and inciting moment.
The first sentence "We're going on a bear hunt" tells the reader what the story is going to entail
whilst giving away what future conflict they could be if the family were to find a bear. The
exposition is also viewed here as the reader, with the illustrations help, knows that 'we' (the family)
are who is involved and it is a 'beautiful day' in the country. Conflict rises steadily on every second
page revealing a new hurdle the family has to conquer (mud, lake etc) but is resolved immediately
until the climax when the big bear is found and is not happy to see them. As the...show more

For example, 'splash splosh', 'squelch' 'squerch' and 'hooo wooo', were utilised to engage the
audience's mind with the motions of wading through a river, trudging their way through mud and
the sounds of a snow storm. This method is more effective at engaging than simply stating 'the
mud was squishy' or 'the river was wet'. On a whole, the text has a good sense of rhythm and
musicality. Even though the sentences are few and short, the receptiveness and use onomatopoeic
words helps the story flow. "The sounds of words increase the appeal and strength of a story" (3)
which is seen to be true in this particular picture

Example Of An Illustration Essay

  • 1. What Is Self Worth Essay Your self worth is more important than you think, many people don't realize that it is an important asset to your everyday life. Self–worth, self–esteem, and self–respect are the three things that many people struggle with. No matter how ugly people can be you have to keep in mind you are as worthy as anybody else. People criticize one another without realizing the damage that is done to their piers. I will be showing you some steps that have helped me gain respect for myself. Step 1 is to never compare yourself to anybody else and to love yourself . Step 2 is to surround yourself with supportive people. Step 3 is to always talk positive about yourself. Step 1 is to never compare yourself to anybody else to love yourself . Its natural for us to compare ourselves to others, but it doesn't improve our status, make us a better person, or secure our happiness. In many cases its does the opposite by making us feel bad about ourselves. For example, i used to compare myself to other people who were way prettier and thinner than me. Comparing myself to them wasn't helping me at all it was just bringing myself esteem down, building more of my insecurities up, just making me be so negative. But i noticed by doing that it wasn't helping me feel any better about myself it was just doing the opposite. What helped me stop was that i started to learn how to love my self just the way I am, i realized that every human has their own insecurities. Loving yourself is very important, do not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Illustration Paragraph So, let 's suppose that you have done some brainstorming to develop your thesis. What else should you keep in mind as you begin to create paragraphs? Every paragraph in a paper should be Unified–All of the sentences in a single paragraph should be related to a single controlling idea (often expressed in the topic sentence of the paragraph). Clearly related to the thesis–The sentences should all refer to the central idea, or thesis, of the paper (Rosen and Behrens 119). Coherent–The sentences should be arranged in a logical manner and should follow a definite plan for development (Rosen and Behrens 119). Well–developed–Every idea discussed in the paragraph should be adequately explained and supported through evidence and details...show more content... Step 4. Explain the example(s) The next movement in paragraph development is an explanation of each example and its relevance to the topic sentence and rationale that were stated at the beginning of the paragraph. This explanation shows readers why you chose to use this/or these particular examples as evidence to support the major claim, or focus, in your paragraph. Continue the pattern of giving examples and explaining them until all points/examples that the writer deems necessary have been made and explained. NONE of your examples should be left unexplained. You might be able to explain the relationship between the example and the topic sentence in the same sentence which introduced the example. More often, however, you will need to explain that relationship in a separate sentence. Look at these explanations for the two examples in the slave spirituals paragraph: Model explanation for example A– When slaves sang this song, they could have been speaking of their departure from this life and their arrival in heaven; however, they also could have been describing their plans to leave the South and run, not to Jesus, but to the North. Model explanation for example B–[The relationship between example B and the main idea of the paragraph 's controlling idea is clear enough without adding another sentence to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Although many different people play Baseball all over the world it is most popular in the United States. It is so popular in fact, it is referred to as the national pastime of the United States because of the tradition and popularity associated with the game. Baseball consists of many complicated rules. In each half of an inning one team bats while the other plays the field. If the score is tied after nine innings are over then the game is continued into extra innings and is concluded when one team is winning after an extra inning. These are the basic rules of baseball. THE FIELD AND EQUIPMENT Baseball is played on a field, which usually covers about two acres. The field is divided into an infield and an outfield. These two parts are considered fair territory and the rest of the field is considered foul. The infield is in the shape of a diamond and is 90 ft on each side. One point of the diamond is home plate which batters hit from. The other three points are bases: first, second, and third base. In the middle of the diamond is a pitchers mound which is slightly raised off the ground. The edges of the diamond from home plate to first base and home plate to third base are the foul lines, which extend all the way to the wall in the outfield. Behind first base is right field, behind second base is called center field, and behind third base is called left field. Fences are placed at the farthest limits in the outfield. In foul territory beyond the foul lines in the infield are dugouts where players sit when they are not playing or waiting to bat. Baseball also consists of many pieces of equipment. Baseball equipment includes the following: a hard ball which has a cork center and has a circumference of 9 in., a bat made out of wood or Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The ultimate purpose is to communicate. The field takes a lot of knowledge to be able to produce a finished and printed product (Rogers, interview). Graphic design is an art that uses skill, information, and technology to communicate to the world. Graphic design, even though it may not have been called that, has evolved with technology. It always has been here to get our thoughts across, but they didn't always use pictures and color. Graphic design started out as typography, letter writing, which quickly gained popularity. We use the written word to inform or identify, but incorporating the art of design into a project creates a more forceful persuasion. Package design, while informing the consumer and identifying what they are looking at, persuades them to buy the product or service. Even book design incorporates information, but the book jackets may try to persuade the consumer (Hurlburt 23). The art of composing information to persuade and create identity in any piece is a complex process. The logo is the most difficult piece of graphic design. The designer has to be able to make a portrayal of the company from scratch. The logo has to be able to fit on a stamp or be as big as a billboard. A company communicates to anyone who runs across their logo, advertisements, menus, or mailer. Even a logo speaks. Logos are important visual representations of a business. The colors show what kind of people they are. If the colors are bright and cheery, you have a down to earth, happy image. When business uses a monotonous, dull, deep red or green, they give out the more sophisticated image. If the company logo consists of only a small forest, then the consumer will know the business is near a forest, using a forest, or has something to do with trees or forests. (Hopefully your designer is more creative to give you something more than trees and your company name.) Just by giving out the name of the business, usually the consumer will figure out what type of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Surrealism Essay Surrealism Surrealism was one of the most influential artistic movements of the 20th Century. AndrГ© Breton consolidated Surrealism as a movement in the early 1920s, trying to achieve the "total liberation of the mind and of all that resembles it[1]" through innovative and varied ideas. Surrealism deeply influenced the world in the era between the two world wars and played a big role in the diffusion and adoption of psychology worldwide. Surrealism faded after World War II, but its revolutionary genius has influenced every artistic movement ever since. It is hard to define and give shape to Surrealism. Nonetheless, one cannot truly comprehend Surrealism without delving further into the Surrealist Movement itself. AndrГ© Breton ran the Surrealist Movement with impressive discipline and rigidity, making an interesting contrast between what the Surrealists preached and the management style of its leader. An interesting story, for example, tells how Salvador DalĐ“, one of the most prominent members of the Surrealist movement, attended a New York costume party dressed up as Charles Lindbergh's son, who had been recently kidnapped and murdered. New York's society did not take the statement well and eventually made DalĐ“ apologize for his behavior. Breton, however, almost dismissed him from Movement because he claimed that "no one should excuse himself for a Surrealist act[6]." This anecdote demonstrates the seriousness of Breton and his Movement towards its final objective: revolution and the slashing of society's conventions in the interest of a subconscious reality. At the beginning, the Surrealist Movement had political ties to the Communist party and was determined to make a revolution. With time, however, the group dropped its direct ties to communism and concentrated in spreading their own doctrine. The Surrealist Movement Get more content on HelpWriting.net

When one would think of art in the past, usually computers and technology did not come to mind. Now because of modern technology, the digital age is uncovering vast ways to create amazing works of art through computer tools and software. Art is now digitally created and can appear unbelievable to the modern eye. Acceptable meaning known; People around the world could tell you theyГ•ve heard of Michelangelo or Picasso. Classical art and digital art have certain similarities, but far more differences. Both forms of art begin with the artistГ•s view of an idea or concept. They both have creative attributes and qualities that are controlled by the artist and viewed by an audience. Evidently, there is different media used in each form. Where classical artist may use a paintbrush and a canvas to create a painting, a digital artist would use software like Photoshop though a computer to create an image. However now, artists can even imitate media like watercolor, charcoal, markers, and even oil pastels with certain software digitally. There are two kinds of computer based art that uses the computer as a tool for creating the work. The two kinds are computer–assisted art and computer–created art. Г’In computer–assisted art, an application like a paintbox or music program is used in creation of a work. Computer–created art begins with an algorithm written by the artist, which when run, produces a work, usually with some element of randomness involved so that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Since I was a child I have been fascinated with cartoons; from when they started out to be black and white, and until now with full colour and computer effects. To better perceive what mypersonal feelings about animation are, I must first discuss in full detail, a general overview of how animators bring traditional animation alive with motion. Animation seems like a smooth movement of drawn sequences of artwork, pasted together to form a single sequence of animation. This is the basis of animation, but animation is far simpler than it may seem. "The true meaning...show more content... When the team has been assembled. The team begins a long process of set procedures, which all animators worldwide use. Below the many set procedures are described in full detail. 1.Script The script is the first stage in all film production. In an animation script, the visual action in the plot and performance is far more important than the dialogue. 2.Storyboard The storyboard is a series of roughly drawn images that convey the action described in the script. This scene–by–scene portrayal helps the writer, director and animation team to access the content of the project and to correct any deficiencies in the scripted story. 3.Soundtrack After the script and storyboard are completed, the recording of any dialogue or key music is undertaken. • 10. Bear Hunt Illustration The children's book We're Going on a Bear Hunt utilises the switching between black and white illustrations and full colour effectively. The pages of the story that are in black and white occur when the family meet an obstacle, such as 'long wavy grass', and once they have overcome said obstacle the illustration returns to colour. It repeats in this manner throughout the picture books entirety. In doing this, the illustrator has emphasised the texts gloominess and foreboding of what the family will have to do ('we have to go through it'). The way this text has been structured by combining the aperture, exposition and inciting moment. The first sentence "We're going on a bear hunt" tells the reader what the story is going to entail whilst giving away what future conflict they could be if the family were to find a bear. The exposition is also viewed here as the reader, with the illustrations help, knows that 'we' (the family) are who is involved and it is a 'beautiful day' in the country. Conflict rises steadily on every second page revealing a new hurdle the family has to conquer (mud, lake etc) but is resolved immediately until the climax when the big bear is found and is not happy to see them.
