SUGGESTIONS
It requires funding to take care of the social security of the seafarers. Funds are
available in the NMB Rehabilitation Fund, NUSI ITF Fund & MNOWFT & MUI-ITF Fund.
Requirement of raising auditors’ awareness can lead to the cut down on many
avoidable observations.
Seaferers must be educated about their rights and responsibilities and understand
there is a commercial implication on the shipowners whenever they exercise their
rights and demands under MLC.
