Jackson Technology Center Texas Star Chart Results By Carolyn Massey
Agenda What is the Texas Star Chart? What can we gain from the results? Results from last three years at JTC Conclusions
What is the Texas STaR Chart? The Texas STaR Chart is part of the “vision 2020” that Texas is implementing. The Texas Teacher STaR Chart is an assessment tool developed around the four key areas of the Texas Long Range Plan for Technology. These areas are: Teaching and Learning Educator Preparation and Development Leadership, Administration and Instructional Support Infrastructure for Technology
What can we gain from the results? The results from the Texas STaR chart can help campuses, as well as districts determine if they are working towards the Long Range Plan for Technology. It gives a guideline for schools to see what they need to work on in order to be working towards the common goal.

Conclusion Starting in 2008 JTC as well as the State showed growth in the area of Leadership, Admin, and Instructional Support.
Conclusion Infrastructure for Technology . This area has seen consistent growth over the past three years. Garland ISD continually offers new tools to keep the infrastructure moving forward.
