1. Cranford Sports Festival.
On the 19th July 2010 the creative and media team are organizing a Sorts Festival.
On that day everyone will be off timetable for the day to join in activities.
Our aims for the Sports Festival are:
Wider
To encourage an interest the 2012 Olympics and create an atmosphere of
excitement.
Whole School
To develop an ethos of ‘togetherness’ amongst the CCC community.
Creative Media
To plan, promote and run a Sports Festival meeting the requirements of Unit
6: Festival.
To record the events of the day and be able to reflect on and evaluate success
of this event.
P.E
To promote fitness in students through increased participation in sports
activities.
To enthuse and interest students in a range of sporting activities.
It will take place on the 19th July. But if it rains on that day our reserve dates are
Wednesday 21st July and Thursday 22nd July. Students in year 7, 8, 9, and 10 will take
part in the activities and year 12 students will help along side staff. On each activity
there will be one teacher, One sixth former plus any community sports leaders at each
activity.
Each tutor group will be split in to five groups to take part in different activities in
four different places. The activities which might be taking place so far look like the
following:
We would like all teachers to take part in the sports day by being allocated to different
activities to supervise. Plus we would also like teachers to take part in a few activities
for example: races etc.
