Personas for Bubbblicious
The purpose of this project was to create personas for a target market for
Bubblicious. This includes Male/Females ages 12-15. Candy is prohibited in schools,
libraries, sporting events, and often times friendʼs houses.. In fact it is seldom
encouraged- with the exception of birthday parties, where it is celebrated.
I created goodie bags for our two main personas: Jack and Molly. The contents in
each bag are carefully chosen to help grow your understanding of we are talking to.
Jack’s Goodie Bag:
Candy Foot ball: illustration of Importance of team building and physical
exertion for these young kids.
Vinyl Dunny Figurine: Shows a growing trend, and the boys tendencies to
follow them also closely linked to skateboarding culture- One of the largest
counter culture trends emerging ( again) amongst young men.
Ticket the the movie Nightmare before Christmas In 3-D: embracing
alternative art forms and style ( like tim Burton) also enjoy interactive
entertainment, Which is why I included 3-D Glasses.
Vans Shoe Laces: Much of the bubblicious promotion for the male segment is
centered around Cartoon Network’s Clik Street Skaters Group.
PopRocks: holds a similar market selling point as the Ink’d bubblicious gum,
in that it attracts the fun side of candy. The mentality that drives kids to have
fun with candy, is seen in the buying and consumption of pop rocks, easily
equated to Bubblicious
Molly’s goodie Bag:
Lip-gloss: This is a time in the girl’s life where they are definitely separate
from boys in their maintenance; “girly-girl” stage, if you will.
Beads: Common trends like friendship necklaces and popular beads are one of
the easiest treats to put in goody bags for younger girls.
Concert ticket; Latest Girl band The Stunners; Avril is the spokesperson for
bubblicious female segment(Bubblicious sponsored her tour.) A lot of the digital
behavior of these girls is centered around a destination pertaining to their idol.
Other channels of media drive our target to this website such as magazines, tv,
and radio.
Chocolate crayon: At this time, Females are much more serious about school;
one large component to this could be there line of concentration (which is much
longer for females than males at this age)
Turkey/leaf/corn cob candy: This target is also still very family oriented,
especially in terms of the Holiday Season: this play one of the largest roles in
their buying behavior from now through February.
