He initiated the Troop Construction Program for the Engineer Section and immediately began advocating for their employment through various entities and organizations. NAME served as a Construction Operation Sergeant providing mentorship and expertise to over 50 Soldiers and NCOs including the Electronic Maintenance, Armament, Operations, and Supply Section within Maintenance Company, UNIT. NAME has developed and executed numerous projects during his assignment in UNIT. He supervised the UNIT Obstacle Course Project, saving the unit over $400,000 compared to the contractor quote. He managed and planned the construction renovation of the TMC into the Red Empire Center, and numerous projects around UNIT compound working alongside USACE to oversee and provide technical knowledge, saving over $2 million by providing work through troop labor as opposed to contracted work. NAME has been responsible for multiple successful missions in UNIT. He performed project oversight and QA/QC for the Containerized Housing Unit (CHU) upgrades in La Macarena. He deployed with his section to Coma Lapa, El Salvador, and constructed two B-Huts to serve as a team house for the ODAs. NAME team also constructed range upgrades and a breaching facility in Lepaterique. With limited resources NAME was able to save USASOC over $1 million by providing troop labor. NAME has been a sterling and exceptional example of what a leader should be while assigned to Maintenance Company. He has loitered in multiple aircraft for over 2000 hours while performing various duties as a Static Line Jump Master. NAME supervised and managed construction support between EN BN, ALNG and the UNIT. Coordinated the procurement and delivery of 2 million dollars’ worth of construction materials for troop labor throughout the UNIT compound. .
