2. Emails
Emails are part of the internal communication of an organisation. They
are often used by the employees to just simply connect with each other
and update each other with anything work related and also with
personal matters.
Through emails, colleagues can provide emotional support for each
other when they are having a difficult time; they can suggest new ideas
about both their work and their lives. Emails can also make sure they
know about anything that concerns them.
With emails, employees can send communication at one stroke to
many colleagues, send photos, videos, and communicate even though
they’re far away from each other.
3. Video Conferencing
Video conferencing in an organisation is very important because
people are often travelling nowadays especially businessmen. With
video conferencing, participants are not only able to hear the
conversation, but they can also see each other's facial expressions and
body language.
Video conferencing can also:
-Increase meeting attendance by participants who would otherwise be
unable to join in
-Strengthen relationships with remote colleagues
-Enable decisions to be made more quickly
-Have greater access to experts/specialists (nationally and
internationally)
Whether it’s office-to-office or country-to-country, video conferencing
brings people closer together more frequently and cost effectively.
4. Intranet
An intranet is similar to the Internet but it is made for one distinct group
of users and has security so that others outside the group do not have
access to its contents.
An intranet facilitates communication and access to information. It
allows employees who might normally never meet to collaborate on
projects. Intranet promotes the sharing of knowledge and ideas and
provides a single, secure, reliable access to an organisation’s private
information. An intranet improves an organisation’s ability to manage
its information and it can also streamline document distribution. Intranet
can result in higher productivity because of better access to quality
information. They also allow reuse of existing information and can
reduce the cost of information sourcing, printing and distribution.
