SNCF selected Sogeti High Tech proposal for developing possible use of the blockchain for the Customers and Services Department. Among the three use case that have been proposed by Sogeti High Tech, two were selected: • Track train tonnage reporting for royalty billing: the blockchain would certify and log the data from the weighing stations to the billing of the fee, • Traceability of reciprocal incentives: set up a blockchain for tracking and logging exchanges between the RU and the Network concerning the order of the train path.

Track maintenance cost is weight dependent variable.
it makes use of a Wheel Impact Load Detector that is used for alarming rail
transport operations in case of square wheel and imbalances/overloads.
Weight measurement sensor is designed to detect automatically the load
weight of a moving train with a high precision. These data are use for the
calculation of a fee associated to the global path train cost
