4. ๎ Set A: 2x โ 7y = 10 5x + 7y =19
๎ Best Method : Elimination
๎ Why? Both equations are in the same form
(Standard) and the y-term can be
eliminated without multiplying.
5. ๎ Set B: y= 6x -13 y =-1/3x +4
๎ Best Method: Graphing
๎ Why? Both equations are in slope intercept
form. To graph an equation, it must be in
slope intercept form.
6. ๎ Set C: x = -10y + 2 4x โ 6y = 8
๎ Best Method: Substitution
๎ Why? The variable 'x' is by itself. It is easy
to substitution '-10y+2' in for the 'x' of the
second equation.
