1. Jingles Evaluation
To evaluate my work I created a simple survey to gather feedback from people, asking them several
question regarding my jingles and how I can improve them. I asked questions such as “how did you
like my jingles” and so on.
I intended to create my jingles to make them sound professional and very catchy but
the end result was not as I expected they sounded slightly different.
How do you feel the jingles
were overall?
Perfect
Needed more editing
and audio effects
Quality and editing
wasn’t great
So my first question for my questionnaire was “how do you feel the
jingles were overall?” This question was a multiple answer question
which had the 3 answers like “perfect”, “needed more editing and audio
effects”, “quality and editing wasn’t great”. The results were all equally
balanced with 3 people (33.3%) answering “perfect” 3 people (33.3%)
saying “needed more editing and audio effects” and another 3 people
(33.3%) say quality and editing wasn’t great.
2. Does the Jingles suit your
tastes?
Yes It was great
Could have been
better
wasn’t what I like
My second question for my questionnaire was “does the jingles suit your tastes” yet again
this is a multiple answer question with these for you to choose from. “Yes it was
great”, “could have been better”, and last “wasn’t what I like” Now for this question
the results could have been better with 66.70% of people saying it could have been
better. 11.10% of people said it was great and finally 22.20% saying it wasn’t what
they like.
How did the Jingles Audio
sound to you?
Perfect
Good
No good
Third question “How did the jingles audio sound to you?” yet again another multiple answer
question. With the options of “perfect”, “good”, “no good”. The most popular
answer was that it was not good with 50.00% of people picking that one. 25.00% of
people say good and another 25.00% saying it’s perfect.
3. What could be changed and or
improved about it?
Sound effects
Music
Voice
The fourth question “ What could be changed and or improved about it?” it’s also a multiple
answer question with the options of “sound effects”, “Music”, “Voice” The vast
majority of the people who took place in the survey said that the voice should be
improved in my jingles. (66.70%) A couple of people said the music in the
background could be improved (16.70%) and finally sound effects should be
improved said by 16.70% of people.
Does the jingle have some
good sound effects?
Yes
Could be improved
No
My fifth question was simply asking if my jingles had good sound effects in them with
multiple question like “yes”, “No”, “could be improved” Now the vast majority of the
people answered “yes” with over 70.00% of people . Secondly they were people at
25.00% saying it could be improved slightly. And that’s it no one answered “no”.
4. Do you know if they were sound
effects in the jingles?
Yes
Some of them
No
My sixth question “do you know if they were sound effects in the jingles?” asking if they
knew that I used some sort of sound effect in both of my jingles. So for this multiple
answer question there was 3 answers to answer from “yes”, “some of them”, “no”.
71.40% of people who took part in my survey answered “yes” meaning that they
knew and understood that I used sound effects in my jingles. The rest of the results
went towards the “some of them” answer with a result of 28.60% of people
answered this.
Do you think it’s a good idea to
have a deep voice in a jingle?
Yes it’s a good idea
Its Ok
No its not
5. My seventh question was “do you think it’s a good idea to have a deep voice in a jingle?” for
my results that I gained over the weeks were pretty positive with 71.40% of the
people saying it was a good idea to have a deep voice. 14.30% people saying it was
OK and 14.30% saying it’s not a good idea.
Could you tell what is being said during the
jingle?
Yes I understood everything
I could understand sometimes
No couldn’t understand a word
My eighth question “could you tell what is being said during the jingles” 57.10% people
saying it was understandable sometime. 14.13% people saying it was good and could
understand everything. 28.60% saying it wasn’t understandable.
Did you think that the sound effects
work well together?
Yes they completely work
They could be better
No they don’t really work
together
My ninth question was “did you think that the sound effects work well together?” 37.50% of
the interviewees said it completely worked together. 37.50% people who answered
the questionnaire said that they could be improved to work together in the future.
6. 25.00% of the rest of the people replied with they didn’t work that great together
and should be definitely improved.
Is it a good idea to use one song in the
jingle?
Yes
Its ok
No not really
My last and final question “Is it a good idea to use one song in the jingle?” with some equal
good and bad feedback , first is the most answered multiple question with a
percentage of 62.50% saying that its ok using one song in one jingles as long as its
matches and suits the jingle. Secondly 37.50% of people said it was a good idea
using one song in both of my jingles I picked out.
My final conclusion of my review is that it went well and had some positive and negative
feedback that will help me in the future to improve my jingles that I create. My j
ingles unfortunately didn’t go as well as I wanted them to go. Despite the decent
feedback I had for my jingles I wasn’t happy with the end results of how I created
and edited the jingles wasn’t how I expected, however it’s a learning curve that will
help me learn about jingles and the software I used to create them.
The audience feedback went well despite my jingles not being so great I had very good
results and my survey was well answered by people giving me feedback. My survey
had 10 questions for my jingles regarding how I can improve them or if or not you
liked them and how they could be improved for the future.
The software I used called “REAPER” was audio editing software used to make your own
songs/music. My skills with his software are decent but could be improved with
investing some more time into the software for the future of creating more audio
Files of jingles exc. My survey and jingles went ok for me and were something new
to learn and to practise with.
