I have about 30 minutes of content to share with you today. I wanted to leave enough time to answer all of your questions. Please feel free to interrupt me at any point.   6. Everybody is talking about content marketing these days. Creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content is the best way attract potential clients and generate more business. As you know, content is king. And video is the king of content!
  7. Newly released footage of NFL player Rice attacking his fiance in an elevator has sparked an outcry over domestic abuse, privilege, and media ethics. His attack rendered his now wife, Janay Palmer, unconscious. The Ravens cut rice after this footage emerged.
  8. Today people don’t have the time or the patience to read, but most are willing to spend time watching videos. Today, video is the best content to use to reach and connect with potential clients. How about Michael Dubin of DollarShaveClub.com. In the first three months after the startup posted the clip on YouTube last March, it racked up 4.75 million views. In the first 48 hours after the video debuted on YouTube, over 12,000 people signed up for the service. Aside from some Google ads, they have used no other marketing.

  10. So hand many of you have one of these? A website. So I use to own a digital signage company. It was a virtual business so I knew I had a to have a good looking website. I think I spent over $5,000 on my website.
  11. We wait for the phone to ring. But just because we have a beautiful website isn’t enough. You have to get found or no one is going to know you exist. Right?
  12. So one day my dad calls me and says, ”David, I did a search for your company on Google and I can’t find it”. I knew if my dad couldn’t find my website, then how were my potential customers going to find me. So long story short, I learned everything I could about search engine optimization. And I was able to optimize my website and got it to appear at the bottom of the 1st page of Google. But I noticed something else. Videos showing up in searches. So I decided to optimize the video and something amazing happened.

You are talking about movies where 10’s of millions of dollars were spent. And almost every time, you know what the issue is? Not the quality of the picture. I am sure the special effects were amazing. The soundtrack was unbelievable. Even the actors were top notch. It was the story. Not everyone can tell a great story. This happens to be where we excel. My business partner has over 25 years of documentary filmmaking experience. Many businesses are creating videos without a purpose or strategy behind it. Yeah, they want a video on their website because everyone is doing it but they don’t know what kind, how long or what story to tell. This is where we differ from almost everyone in the market.
