in the Aviation Industry. During my career my roles and responsibilities have significantly
increased. I have a solid knowledge of Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and Fairchild processes and
procedures. I have a rich knowledge and experience working with customers and suppliers to
coordinate part and assembly deliveries in order to achieve their satisfaction and partnership. I
have an extensive background and knowledge of safety/ergonomics, lean manufacturing
concepts, team work and performance excellence. I work closely and easily with different
functional organizations within an organizational structure to gather the support needed to
maintain the safety, quality, performance and schedule of a program. I work closely and
efficiently with Senior Management, Engineering, Supplier Management, Planning, Industrial
Engineering, Safety and Quality to coordinate and develop solutions for production problems. I
have had the pleasure of working with many military platforms with many diverse multi-
disciplined teams that were responsible for the production, modification and repair of C17,
C130, KC135, CH47, AH64 and A10 aircraft assemblies.
EXPERIENCE:
The Boeing Company, Macon Georgia
C17 Production Associate, Team Leader, Quality Inspector.
Oct 1989, 40-hour week schedule. Monday-Friday
I had the opportunity to build and inspect many C17, MD80, AH-64, A10 Outer and
Center Wings and the KC135 assemblies built or repaired in Macon. I was a part of high
performing multidiscipline work teams that built C17 Flaps, Skin Panels, Aerial delivery
system (ADS) Rails, Mission System Assemblies, Bulkheads, skin panels and Side
frames. During this period, I learned a great deal about aircraft production and the
tooling required to complete the assembly build. I am very familiar with the production
processes, reviewing engineering drawings, reviewing planning instructions, reviewing
tooling instructions and loading detail parts and completing a quality product.
Sixteen years of experience as a production team lead. Responsible for supervising up
to 15 production team members. Communicated daily to the team to make sure
2. everyone in aware of the goals for the day. Communicated and organized the shop to
make sure quality, performance and schedule goals are met.
I am familiar with rigging of flight controls, rigging of ads rails, hydraulic line swag and
installation, electrical wire routing and terminating. I have had to trouble shoot rigging
and electrical issues with assemblies during the building and inspecting process.
I have installed, repaired and tested aircraft systems. Fuel Pumps, Actuator valves,
Fuels Tanks, Speed Brake Valves, Cables and Pulleys. Any issues discovered during
the testing of these details I had to identify the issues and report to quality to record the
findings.
I have removed Aircraft components as needed for repair and modification. Some of the
details I have worked, Flaps, Ailerons, Fuel Pumps, Actuator Valves, Skin Panels, Fuel
Boundary Doors. All repair and modification work was performed using the job cards or
work ordered assigned to the task.
I am Boeing composite repair and composite assembly manufacturing certified. I
attending classes for advanced composite repair and metal bonding.
I am able to lay out and prep assembly repairs as called out using the correct measuring
tool for the job (scale, calipers, micrometer, Depth Gauges, Bore Gauges, Tru Lok
Gauges etc.) as well as many other tasks required in aircraft assembly production and
repair.
I am familiar with and can operate the tools safely that will be used to build, repair and
modify aircraft structure. I have used pneumatic drills, rivet guns, torque runners, seal
guns, Huck Guns, Torque Wrench and various hand tools.
I have experience working with many types of aluminum, titanium, Inconel, steel
I was responsible for removal of aircraft structures and systems as needed for repair and
modification of C17, C130, A10 and AH64 sub- assemblies for our Long Beach, San
Antonio, Warner Robins, Hill AFB and Fort Walton Beach customers. I am familiar with
and have performed flush and non-flush doubler repairs, false flange repairs, bushing
repairs and many other repairs typically used in our industry.
I am familiar with fuel cell sealing and leak detection processes.
I maintain proper record keeping. Recording all work completed using manual work
cards or automated computer generated work cards.
I am able to work safely and follow all safety guidelines established to keep us safe.
I utilize lean manufacturing concepts that help remove non-value added steps from the
manufacturing and repair processes.
I maintain a clean organized work area. I can easily identify the tools that are needed to
complete a task. I can locate and move the proper work stands to area that will be
needed to complete the task safely.
I maintain all my tools to keep them operating properly. I verify all tools are present at
the beginning and end of each shift.
I am very familiar with operating in FOD Critical areas and following the processes and
procedures of those areas to maintain a FOD free environment.
