SUMMARY
I am a manufacturing professional with over 10 years experience with major international glass
manufacturers. I entered the manufacturing field after six years in the automotive service
management profession that followed my service in the US Army. While serving in the Army I
earned the “Chief of Staff coin for Excellence in Service”. Before my military service I studied
Drafting and design at Lancaster Vocational high school where I earned my certificate in Drafting
& design.

I operated & supervised 1-3 personnel in the operation of I.S. glass container forming machines
with com-soc I, II & III computerized timers. I worked extensively in drop/gob loading, mould
adjustment, plunger adjustment, blow adjustment. I also corrected manufacturing defects,
performed changes of mould, press & blow equipment, performed and supervised process
change operations and assisted with machine repairs. I coordinated with management and
hourly union personnel to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and that production goals
were met. I organized and directed maintenance & machine repair personnel as needed to
ensure all production down time was used efficiently. I performed quality inspections to ensure
customer needs were met and to confirm manufactured product met FDA food container
guidelines.

I lead a crew of up to 12 personnel supervising the glass-making process in the Anchor Hocking
forming department. I served as an intermediary between management and hourly personnel.
I worked with Supervisors and personnel in our finishing department to ensure the best possible
product was produced and packed for shipment. I supervised the maintenance and repair of
production equipment as well as assisting in or leading personnel in defect correction. I worked
to ensure compliance with OSHA and Anchor Hocking safety safety protocol were met during all
on-shift work. I also worked to train and develop new forming department personnel.
