Photography Shoot 1
Photographs to be taken: I need to take a selection of photographs for a
magazine cover and double page spread. The cover of my magazine will
be basic with a simple background such as black or white because of the
simple background the photos can be taken in any location with a plain
wall to use as the backdrop. With the images I have taken I will be creating
a magazine cover and double page spread for unit 51 layout and design.
Location of Photo shoot: College Studio, Out doors for natural light and a
wall with a Plain background.
Date & time of photo shoot: The photos will be taken between Feb 25 –
March 5th
Equipment & Props needed: No props are needed for my front cover as the
shot will be a close up head shot.
Techniques that will be used: Depth of Field, Natural Light and Manual
camera setting.

How light quality can be used to help convey the visual message: Different
types of light can be used to get the best photos possible. Using natural light
creates a more natural looking image; the light depends on time of day,
weather and the cameras direction. These things need to be considered in
order to get the best possible photo.
Health and safety considerations:
Outdoors: If photos are taken outdoors, make sure traffic is avoided if
possible.
Indoors: Make sure the floor is clear so nobody can trip and ensure no sharp
objects are around such as glass.
