The document discusses two recipe card designs created by Jess & Callum. It summarizes the key strengths and weaknesses of the designs. One strength is that the bright colors and bold fonts would appeal to their target demographic. However, a weakness is that there seems to be too much information crammed into one page, which could confuse readers. The second part discusses the author's preferred design of the two they created. They used wooden textures and chains to depict a Texas Mexican burrito. Ingredients and methods are clearly listed in a separate font for separation. While the design mostly works, the author notes some areas for improvement like better filling the information boxes.

2. 2
Once creating these two ideas we have
come to conclusion and balanced out the
several successful aspects and
weaknesses of the designs. A successful
element of these two designs is that they
would appeal to our target demographic
with their bright colour schemes and
bold, dynamic font. We feel that the large
title taking up a significant amount of one
A5 side will help to draw the reader
in, also it helps the reader to understand
the context of the card more clearly with
the image referred to by the text
overlapping. A weakness about these
designs is that there seems to be a lot
cramped into one page, sometimes a lot
of information can cause a reader to
become confused an wonder what to look
at first.

I feel that this is my best design out of the two that I created. On the left hand side due to the meal that I
have chosen being Texas Mexican burritos, I decided to attempt a wooden design for the background of the
rectangles that I used. I then attached the next two rectangles down with a series of circles that I made look
like chains. The back page I put the nutritional values near the top in a slightly larger font as that is
something that people are very interested in. the ingredients and method are clearly listed in a different font
to the rest of the card, this is to create separation without adding any lines or anything. I added an image in
the top right of the page, this is made up of 3 separate images and is layered using custom shapes with
clipping masks. Something's that I don’t like are how the nutritional information doesn’t fill the bottom
box, his could probable be altered by messing with the centring of the text. The veg soc logo could be
placed better to amend this I could place it in the top left hand side of the front page slightly overlapping the
image of the tex-mex burrito
