34. From a large list of potential risk factors (32 variables were examined), we were able to identify a manageable list of most important variables in this population.

35. Home care clients have similar risks for hip fracture as those in long term care; this provides evidence of the frailty of this client group. This is the first research of its kind to focus on risk factors for hip fracture among home care clients.

37. RAI-HC data can be used to identify home care clients with rehabilitation potential, and also those at risk for poor health outcomes.

38. Our research provides added support for use of the RAI-HC data in home care decision-making.
