5. What is Psychodrama?

6. Psychodrama is a way of bringing your inner
world to life in a group with other people
playing various roles in your drama.

7. These roles can be other people in your
life, or parts of yourself (as in IFS).

8. It is an opportunity to work out
dilemmas, conflicts, and work on issues
in the safety of a supportive group,
guided by a Director who is experienced
in psychodrama.

9. How does Psychodrama work?

10. The psychodrama emerges from within the
person who is selected as the protagonist,
as they choose others to play the various
roles in the drama.

11. Role reversal, doubling, soliloquy,
and other techniques are used to
help the person gain additional
perspective and resolution with
their issue.

12. Everything is voluntary,
and people may choose to
just watch if they prefer.

13. Warm up activities precede the enactment
to help determine who might be ready to be
a protagonist.

14. A wrap up follows the drama, with people
sharing their own experiences related to the
roles they were chosen for.
