Our little wish:
For family and friends to join us on the island to have fun and relax a bit.
We envision this as more of a big family and friends get together in a
casual country setting: sitting on porch rails and hay bales, frisbees, nice
chats over coffee, baseball, canoeing, airplane rides, BBQ, soccer, hiking,
cycling, relaxing, talking on the porch, skipping rocks across the water,
kids playing, walking, etc., etc. We will gather together briefly for a
wedding in the chapel on Saturday at 11 am. Your presence is more
important than your presents! No Gifts Please! Thank you.
After the wedding, we hope you will "get involved". We are self catering
this event and we will need a bit of help from everyone. Whether it's
setting up a volleyball net, cooking on the BBQ, or whatever.....make no

mistake...YOU will help make the reception happen! (now you know why
"no gifts" eh? ;-)

Roche Harbor Lodging:
We have blocked out 8 cottages for family to reserve when they call the
resort. Initially, 4 cottages will be available for the Teed family to
reserve and 4 cottages will be available for the Wirkkala family to
reserve....adjusted as desired/needed. Currently, Shannon and Brad have a
9th cottage to themselves. Lodging is abundant, so after the cottages fill
up, you will have to reserve at the other sites. The condo's are a bit of a
walk around the harbor... a private option. All other lodging is "a stones
throw" from the cottages. The cottages are considered the cheap places to
stay, but we selected them for the great lawn, simplicity in layout, trees,
proximity to each other, proximity to the water/beach, privacy for self
catered events, and proximity to the airstrip (they are right at the end of
the runway, people and supplies will be arriving by air....read as: Brad
doesn't want to carry that stuff any farther than he has to).
Everyone must call the resort to secure and pay for
lodging for their families!
Lodging options, if the cottages fill up:
The McMillin Suites are very plush and quite frankly, we will stay there
ourselves if the cottages fill.
The Hotel is interesting...some have private baths and some don't; floors
aren't level, which could be fun!...a very clean place all around though.
If you prefer, Friday Harbor has a ton of lodging options and is only 7
miles away.
Most people are planning on staying Friday the 13th (scary) and Saturday

the 14th, but others are reserving more days to do other activities in and
around the island and Canada. Shannon and I are planning on staying
Thursday night the 12th through Sunday the 15th for the purpose of early
setup.
Please take a second to jot us an email RSVP.
We need to know:
how many people,
which nights,
and which lodging (if more than a day trip) you have secured:
RSVP by clickingHEREto email the info to us.
Getting there... and back...
By Ferry:
If you plan on traveling via Ferry to the wedding on Saturday
morning...BE WARNED...ferry boats are very easy to miss for reasons
including the following: not arriving hours in advance; boats filling up;
boats that don't take a full load due to inter-island loading....so you watch
the boat come and go while you sit on the dock; ferry break downs; etc.
We have experienced all of the above during our ferry traveling years so
far, and it can be frustrating. I believe there is only 1 car ferry on
Saturday morning that can get you to Roche in time for the wedding....so
if you miss the wedding, don't sweat it, continue on for the reception!
Passenger only ferries run more frequent, check the schedule!
By Plane:
Pilots: Fly to 9S1, ROCHE HARBOR AIRPORT, ROCHE HARBOR,

West. CTAF 128.25, Park NW corner in grass.
Passengers: Call Brad if interested in being shuttled between Everett
Washington (where you would leave your car...free, secure parking) to
Roche Harbor, San Juan Island. I cannot shuttle on Saturday morning cuz'
