The document summarizes the settings for a student film production. It will be set primarily at a school, which the target audience would be familiar with. The production takes place mainly indoors, with some exterior scenes. Indoor scenes include a graduation celebration at which mysterious events and deaths occur. Short clips of deaths will be filmed and edited to grab audience attention. Exterior scenes include a group discussion outside the graduation hall to build up tension before events inside escalate. A death also occurs in the school astro turf area to intrigue audiences about future events.

2. Layout of the settings
The layout of the setting in the production is a school. A school was chosen
because our target audience and those who are old enough to watch the
film would be familiar with the surroundings. The production is mainly set
interior rather than exterior. However there are some parts in the production
that is set exterior.

3. Interior
Inside the hall we as a group decided to set the hall up as a graduation. This
means investing in balloons, setting up tables and posting up banners with
extras involved. Inside the building of Acland Burghley school is where the
intensive action takes place. This ranges from deaths and the solution of why
the miraculous events are taking place. The interior events that take place is
what will enhance the audience attention in the trailer. I intend to grab their
attention by editing and recording short shots of deaths that we as a group
decide to show. Also with variations of different shot types ranging from, over
the shoulder shots, close up shots, medium shots and lots more. Also with the
diegetic sounds will elevate the tension in the film.

4. Exterior Setting
The outdoor setting is placed outside the hall of the graduation party
because, me and my group didn’t want to create the next scene far away
from the reason why the upcoming events take place. Which is the
graduation party. Also to have that soothing atmosphere before everything
goes upside down will keep the audience at ease. The group of friends in the
production are placed outside the hall because the build up starts from the
group discussion outside then gradually starts to come in. Overall the exterior
setting is mostly calm and shows the build up of the adventure in the film.
On the other hand a death takes outside in the astro which is a part of the
trailer which is important, which will allow the audience wanting to know what
will happen next.
