specific technical skills relevant to the role (eg programming languages,
systems, platforms) alongside the all-important ‘softer skills’ that all employers
are looking for.
Creative industries CV:
• A highly creative CV format can be suitable for some roles in creative and
artistic sectors such as marketing, design or journalism where it could help you
stand out from the crowd.
Video CV:
• More popular in customer-facing and creative roles, a video CV could get you
noticed by employers in any sector.

Customize YourCV
 Use one-inch margins for all four sides of your CV.
 Be consistent with your font:
* Go for 11 or 12pt. Use 14 to 16 pt for your name at the top and bold for section headings.
* Use standard fonts such as Arial or Times New Roman.
* Avoid italics of any kind except for journal or book titles (dear Brits, this is about you).
 Put double blank line before all headings and one blank line after them.
 White space is good for readers. It guides their eyes to all the important parts.
 Make your CV as long as it needs to be
* An academic CV is not a resume. It doesn’t have a page-count limit.
* It’s supposed to show the detailed course of your academic career.
