Narrative Essay About True Love
1. Romance Essay
Romance is something that should never end. Romance brings love, happiness, and a joyful life.
One of the true definitions of romance is, "an emotional attraction or aura belonging to an
especially heroic era, adventure, or activity" (Romance, n.d.). However, when someone thinks of
romance they can see how much of a concept it is. It could be different for everyone because not
everyone's definition of romance or romantic activity is the same. For a man named Jim, it could
be him offering his arm to a woman when they are walking. Yet, on the other hand, for a random
girl named Emily, it could be having the man walk on the streetside of the sidewalk so he could
protect her. Romance started centuries ago and is not going to end anytime soon....show more

Nevertheless, the idea of romance did not just pop up like a jack–in–the–box. The origins of the
modern celebration lie in the 18th century with the rise of romantic marriages. Writer, Elizabeth L.
Maurer (2017), from Nationals Women's History Museum had stated that "During the 18th century,
society encouraged young people to select their marriage partners based on their romantic
attachments. This was a decided change from past practice when marriages had been
arranged...between families or clans." So the young people at that point had to figure out what they
liked and what they did not like in a spouse, it was all left up to them. Maurer (2017), also
discussed how romance had fit in on this new practice:
"Prospective lovers needed to find one another and then determine the extent of mutual attraction.
Courtship became a distinctive phase of partner selection, and familiar rituals evolved. Young
women, perhaps more than young men, often enjoyed the process of courtship as it represented a
time of freedom and choice."
The men really had to come with the best of the best because the women now had the option to reject
them. The men had to think of ways to show their interest, bringing them flowers from the garden,
taking them out to dinner on a Friday night, or even taking off their hat when they were talking to
the lady. They either had to teach themselves based on what the woman they were trying to pursue,
or their father

2. My First Love Essay
Everyone loves to tell the story of their first love, and the beautiful lesson they learned through the
adventure. You hear the phrase, "you'll never forget your first" as you see a small smirk flourish
across the faces of people who remember their story. Through all the experiences shared, I never
would have believed the result of falling out of love. All of the novels and sweet smiles never hinted
about the time I would end up crumbled down on my bedroom's floor, with two years of a person's
presence surrounding a broken heart. Nobody will speak of watching your first love leave for
college, knowing that they will want to move on. I went through the stages of heartbreak that left
me with a cracked and bruised heart. The recovery and journey of finding acceptance and love for
myself, created a book of my personal lessons. Going back to that summer is like reading the final
book of your favorite series, you soak in the words trying to read slow, savoring. Completing the
series leaves a bitter sweet moment, comparing to the emotions that overcame my mind through the
process of watching him go. However, it was not beautiful and bittersweet as romance novels paint
your first love out to be. Each page in our novel transformed from love to a war zone, as loyalty
became nonexistent, and trust only present in waves. The summer was beautiful, but in my heart I
knew that this novel was only a fairy tale coming to it's end. There was nothing left to be painted.

Love – a word which can make you or break you. Maybe my story isn't heart wrenching, but every
story is special. For me, he's special.
A love story in which I could never find him beside me physically but I knew he's with me. I could
feel his presence. It's been 11 months. 11 months of togetherness. 11 months with 11.000 times
break up. 11 months of wait to see him, to just have a glance of him. 11 months of separation. 11
months of the long distance. 11 months of being in love with an Army Man.
It started amorously. We both didn't want a lovey–dovey, nutty about each other or a typical
nonu–shonu (that's what he says) kind of relationship. It was a mature love. A kind of relationship
which was more about loving, not being loved. I...show more content...
I don't know what I should call this. His love or his prudence. His self–restraints were breaking me
down. We hardly talked after that. He wanted me to be with him but he couldn't put any effort. I
used to cry myself to sleep. But he never came to wipe off the tears. I felt like maybe he doesn't
love me anymore. Maybe I am not good enough. He was my friend, my confidant, my comfort, my
lover..... My safe place but he turned around.
I was losing all my hope. I was losing all my belief. I was losing my peace. I was letting him take
me for granted. But I loved him. And I just couldn't unlove him. No matter how hard I try. That
was the most difficult part, to hold on to him or let him go. But still, there's something ... There's
something in the way he looks at me like I am his first glimpse of sunshine after a year of
darkness. And in the way, he says my name, like it's his favourite song playing all day long.
There's something in his eyes when I first see him in the morning like I don't need coffee because
he gives me all the energy I need. And in the way, he smiles at my mention, like I'm a question only
he is lucky enough to know the answer to. There's something about two people falling in love; a
collection of delightful moments which makes us moving, which made me hold onto him.
Now I understood why people are falling out of love nowadays. Maybe they're not prepared for the
sacrifices, for the compromises, for the unapologetic behavior, for

4. A Love Story
Not a Love Story "Oh my gosh, it's Ru Emerson!" A girl screamed out. Commotion rippled across
the campus as a hoard of girls started gathering around a particular spot. Ru Emerson was quite
used to this and casually dismissed the girls. "Sorry girls, another day!" Ru shouted as he
grinned, since many girls were asking him if he was free or had football practice that day. In a
split second, the girls dispersed with disappointed looks on their faces, knowing that they could
never have a chance with a campus football star. Ru always knew he had dashing good looks, as
he was quite proud of his thick, jet black hair, his cloudy grey eyes, and his toned body. On top of
all that, he had a great charm. While silently adoring himself, Ru made his way to the Starbucks
on campus to treat himself to an iced coffee. As he was strolling along the pathway, he looked up
at the clear, blue sky, watching a few birds fly by. On his left, he spotted a few more kooky girls
who were crazy for him, so he ducked his head and stared at the patterned brick path beneath his
feet, and kept walking. Ru eventually reached the familiar glass door at Starbucks and pushed
forward with his head still lowered. Suddenly, he felt something hit his chest and saw a pile of
textbooks on his feet. Ru immediately raised his head, only to find a girl with her hands and
knees on the ground. Their gaze met each other for a few seconds, then Ru instinctively bent
down to help the girl pick up her books. He noticed the faint smell of cigarettes. "I'm terribly
sorry, I didn't mean to do that," Ru said apologetically, "I just wasn't watching where I was going.
Totally my fault." The girl nodded timidly but was too shocked to say anything and just kept
staring at Ru. "Here you are, Miss. Lenora." Ru chirped as he handed her stack of textbooks back.
Lenora was almost too bewildered to speak. The man in front of her was too beautiful. She was
already lost in his captivating grey eyes, his bold, straight eyebrows, and his alluring tinted lips.
"Th–thanks," Lenora hesitated as she quickly tucked her blonde hair behind her ear, "sorry, but
how did you know my name?" Ru replied, "I saw it written in one of your books and assumed

I decided long ago that my parent's love story is worth writing about. My mom grew up in the same
red–bricked house most of her life in Richland, Washington. She grew up with eight siblings (she
being number six)– three sisters and five brothers. Grandpa Nelson was an engineer, along with the
rest of the people who lived on that street– most of them being members of the church. Grandma
Nelson was a stay at home mom and raised my amazing aunts and uncles. My dad was raised in a
military family and went to twelve different public schools. Grandpa Robinson was in the Navy
and for a short while, in the Air Force. Grandma Robinson has 11 children (the youngest, Rebekah
was a still born) and my dad was the second child. He has three brothers and eight sisters. My dad
claims Richland, Washington as his home even though he lived all over the country. My parents
technically met when they were in the same ward as kids. My grandma Nelson was my dad's
Den Leader in scouts. However, my parent's friendship became real when they were teenagers and
my dad was finally settled back in Richland. A story that was told by my grandpa all the time before
he died was one day while my dad and his family were sitting in the pews of the chapel, my mom
walked in and my dad leaned over to either is mom or dad and said "I'm going to marry her one
day." At the time, my dad was 17, while my mom was 14, so the fantasy was, in fact, only a fantasy.
Long story short, my parents dated a little bit in high

Now–
Hani cried into him. This was not to be a love story, or one with a happy ending at all was it? There
was never to be a finality. This would never end. Never. Hani would live forever, just as Lee should
have, but he had given his life to her... his very soul. He would die here in her arms, and she would
be alone. No hope. No love.
Six months ago–
Hani sighed. "It's funny... how I became a vet in hopes to save lives."
He just looked at her curiously. "you saved mine that night." He reminded her.
Hani started spacing out. Lost in thought. Then the flashback came. That night... the memory was
vivid in her mind. She had been heading back to her home in the heavy rain, when she saw him
soaking wet, and bleeding out. The wound in his side was gleaming red in the dim light of dusk in
the rain. Though he had almost no strength left, he pleaded to her not to call an ambulance. His
voice was strained. Any of the ragged breaths he took now could be his last.
Shaking with the effort of dragging him along, she finally brought him to her vet. She lay his limp
body to the floor. She was not licensed to treat another human, but to protect life was the way she
would eventually go. It all came down to this. Every moment was to be made use of. She dashed
into another room, and seconds later darted back out, with all of the necessary medical supplies.
Dropping down to her knees by his side, she pulled his shirt up a little to get a better look at his
wound. It looked like he was stabbed

7. Loving Story Essay
The Loving Story The journey that Richard and Mildred Loving took is important for history and
for the future of civil rights in the United States. I recently watched the documentary The Loving
Story and enjoyed the footage, pictures, and interviews of everyone involved in the Loving v.
Virginia case. The documentary addressed the issue of interracialmarriage in Virginia in 1967. The
married partners, Richard and Mildred, were woken up in the middle of the night and were
criminally charged for being in the state of Virginia and being married. Richard was a white male,
Mildred was a African American and Native American, and that was the problem that they faced at
that point in history. During this time, it was illegal to be of...show more content...
It got across to us that the two people involved with each other and married are just as normal as
any straight, white, and married couple. The problem people had, and probably still do have, is that
they do not see them as normal people. They are different because of their race, sexuality, class
status, etcetera . The human face and cost is lost in the their eyes. The photos at the end showed
how they were not different from a couple that was made up of two white or two black people.
They were courageous and inspiring people in history and that is what they will be remembered
for. Mildred and Richard Loving made it possible for people of two different races to get married
in their case that made it to the Supreme Court. My reflections after viewing this film, moved
towards thinking about our current situation of not allowing people of the LGBT community get
married. The opinions and bigotry that are still instilled in our society. For those that say that we
have moved past our prejudiced views as a society in the United States; I would say that they are
wrong. The Loving story was significant in so many ways towards moving our world into a better
place for all. The education and consciousness of accepting all people will be key in future of
struggle for equality in this country and around the

8. My Dream Love Story
Every little girl fantasizes over her dream wedding day just like every little boy fantasizes over his
professional sports career. Girls draw–up their perfect dress, their perfect man, their perfect venue,
their perfect day; guys draw–up their ultimate team, their ultimate coach, their ultimate fans, their
ultimate fame. And although every child fantasizes over the idea of an exemplary future, none
could have dreamt of a love story so pure. The minute my drowsy eyes met the rays of sunlight
sneaking into our condo shutters and my ears heard the salty waves crashing against the shore,
my mind refused to hush. I could just imagine her flawless face radiating with the joy that only
the Holy Spirit can give. Out of his great generosity and kindness, God had given her a friend,
who morphed into a boyfriend, who would soon morph into someone much more. Today,
Brittany would say yes to the man she loved, the man God saved just for her. We (my mom, dad,
and sister) knew about this grand engagement plan for too long; the cat needed to come out of the
bag before Elaina (my sister) and I pulled it out. After eating a quick breakfast, my mind simmered
some and the day commenced. The most important thing for us to do: collect plumerias (Brittany's
favorite flower). So, as my mom and dad left to pick the flowers from the plumeria trees around our
place, Elaina and I put on our salt–smelling swimsuits and lathered our dark, toned skin with lotion
that had "SPF 50" in large print. Our

9. My First Love Essay
Having a first love can change your life for the better in so many ways. My first love did that and
much more. The best part of it I didn't expect any of it. The first time I was introduced to her I
was working at a place called smoothie king. I remember her walking in she was stunning
basically, breath taking. I've never seen anyone as gorgeous as her. When she first walked in the
first thing I noticed was her long slick hair and a smile of an angel. Her eyes where amazing as a
result I would just get lost in them. The crazy part was I've never felt that way for anyone else. I
would just get this pulsing rushing feeling throughout my whole body. If someone could actually
give me that feeling I knew they were precious. So, I started to talk to her more and I really felt
this strong connection forming between us. The more we hanged out the more my life became
great. Just being around her and the things, we did I felt my life heading in a direction that was
so perfect. Having that feeling that someone appreciates you was so valuable to me. I started to
see myself through someone else's eyes wondering what I could do to be a better person. That's
exactly what I did. I saw myself being more grateful and understanding. There were also things
I've always wanted to do in my life but I could never do because I was either unhappy or didn't
have someone to do it with therefore with her I was able to do all of it. She really did change my
life for the better and I can't thank her enough. My first love really did make me feel like I wanted
to go out and experience the world like I've never have before. Even something so small like
going skating was huge for me. Our first date we actually, went skating. That night made me
realize even having someone there with you while you do something fun and that you both like
is an experience I will never forget and cherish till this day. I was full of joy and excitement of
how much bonding we were doing. I was never so giving but I caught myself buying everything
that night when I usually wont. We skated for hours trying to impress each other with fancy skate
tricks. She made me feel so different but in a good way. I felt like I would absorb all her likings. She

10. Essays in Love
Essays in Love is a novel about two young people, who meet on an airplane between London and
Paris and rapidly fall in love. The structure of the story isn't unusual, but what lends the book its
interest is the extraordinary depth with which the emotions involved in the relationship are analysed.
Love comes under the philosophical microscope. An entire chapter is devoted to the nuances and
subtexts of an initial date. Another chapter mulls over the question of how and when to say 'I love
you'. There's an essay on how uncomfortable it can be to disagree with a lover's taste in shoes and a
lengthy discussion about the role of guilt in love.

Love
Anyone who has been in love, especially if the love object is scornful or infidelitous, has been
able to turn to any station and say "every pop song on the radio is suddenly speaking to me," as
Ani DiFranco sings in her song "Superhero". 1 Petrarchan love sonnets, the antiquated predecessors
of the modern "pop love song", depict love with some sense of perfection, sweetness, and chastity,
with the beautiful, infallible blonde as the love object, however both with a sense of unattainability.
Shakespeare's later sonnets, 127–152, dealing with the "dark lady", the antithesis of the Petrarchan
model of love, however, may be a more accurate predecessor, nearly all dealing with the torments
and imperfections of love and its source,...show more content...
As the narrator goes on in the second quatrain of sonnet 141, he shuns the often appealing traits of a
lover's voice, touch, taste, and smell, not "[desiring] to be invited/to any sensual feast with [her]

reminiscent of sonnet 130 where many of these features are depicted as mediocre in lines 7–10 and
as being less pleasant than their Petrarchan counterparts, such as the mistress' voice to music, or
her breath to perfume. He mentions in other sonnets in the sequence that her features are the
antithesis of that way in which "every tongue says beauty should look so." (127.14) The narrator

12. Capitalism: A Love Story Essay
A cancer cell known today is a destructive living organism that duplicates itself by feeding off the
energy of a corpse. Similarly, a country that promotes capitalism enables businesses to gain wealth at
the expense of the consumer's wealth. Ultimately this becomes a question of morality as these
corporations reap the money from hardworking citizens for the purpose of greed and exploitation of
the free market economy. In the film, Capitalism: A love story, the film makers use conventions and
point of view to show that capitalism in America is an evil that is better replaced by democracy.
Michael Moore warns everyone that promoting capitalism will destroy the economy because of the
financial sacrifices made by citizens for free enterprise...show more content...
Also when the bishop says that it does not provide for everyone it helps the viewer realize that
there is an imbalance of wealth distribution in the economy. This imbalance will naturally cause
some to live in poverty because of the money they gave up to the free market thus leading to an
economic crisis as more individuals lose significant needs in life. The animated clip of Jesus
intends to make the viewer see capitalism in a visual way and upon seeing this clip from a
Christian perspective it does not fit what Jesus would truly say to an injured man. So capitalism is
shown to be something that Jesus would not take part in which makes the audience feel that it is
wrong to follow it. The message sent when seeing Jesus demanding money from the injured man
was that the profit motive charges people in need of help which creates a financial debt for the
citizens who borrow money to afford it. This financial debt will create a crisis as more people give
up their fortunes leaving them with insufficient money to survive. Through these victims who were
robbed, Michael Moore successfully makes the audience feel sympathy for the unfortunate and anger
at the system. The business shown in the documentary displays the benefits of democracy to be
greater success, an appreciable pay, and that everyone has an equal ownership of the business. With

13. The Love Story Of The Notebook
For this module I chose the movie The Notebook. This movie is about a couple's love story. It
starts by Noah talking about his life and how he feels as if he has lived his life to the fullest with
no regrets. He also then states how he has loved another with all of his heart and how that has
always been enough for him. We then meet Noah's wife, Allie. His wife has dementia and has
forgotten almost everything. Noah takes the time to read Allie the same story every day, which
is their love and life story. As he begins to read the story he starts how they first met which was at
a carnival one night. Noah was persistent in getting Allie to go on a date with him and she was
hesitant at first. See Allie is from a very wealthy and well known family where as Noah is from
the opposite. However, that did not stop Noah. After their first date at the movies it really was
like love at first date. There was instant chemistry between the two and they became inseparable
from then on. With one night in particular Noah took Allie to an old abandon house where he told
her he was going to buy it one day and fix it up for Allie. One thing led to the next and as they
were about to make love, Fin ran in and said that Allies parents were looking for her and even
called the cops. As Allies parents did not approve of her relationship with Noah it ultimately led to
them breaking up right before Allie left for college in New York. Noah wrote to Allie every day that
first year she was gone, but Allies

Before I begin, love has a substantial meaning to me like the Golden Rule. As a young adult, I
thrive to change the word love. In every century, the word love is frequently overused and it is
prosaic. Over the years, I finally understood that there is no eminent word to substitute love. Trust
me, I had constantly searched across overseas on voyages with your daddy. The wordlove is the only
form of vocal expression that I can assure you my affection towards you. The word love brings me
happiness into my environment. Happiness makes me feel satisfied, contentment, delighted, amused,

I was crazy enough to involve Pedro in my destiny. Overall, the concept of it, just felt right, I
thoroughly thought about our relationship for the future. I came to a realization, if I ever wanted
our relationship to be a committed relationship. It would be best, if we both mature up, continue our
bond as friends. Hopefully one day, Pedro would swept me off my feet.
One great advice, I can give to you is wait for your true love to approach you. The significance of
the person approaching you, just justifies that the person is serious about you and there is a
possibility for a committed relationship. I certainly did, however, in my junior year, I identified
Pedro as my friend and nothing else. My dreams were still present, but I preferred at the time his

"I Too Had A Love Story" has been written by Ravinder Singh, a software engineer, who was
brought up in a small town of Burla in Orissa. The author has described the examples of his
personal life in the story. This story reveals the touching and authentic side of what happens to a
man's life when he loves a woman truly, madly and deeply. Being alove story, the genre is very
fascinating and appealing to many teenagers who have experienced the spirit of love and
relationships in their lives and those who have sacrificed something for other's happiness.
The story starts at the reunion of Ravinder's (the author and the lead protagonist of the story)
college friends at one of his friend's house in Kolkata. They were the best buddies during their
college hostel life and stayed in touch even after so many years. They met after so long so the meet

avoiding for long. Education– Done, a good job– Done, Bank balance– Well in progress, what about
the next thing in life– The next big thing. Finding a life partner or a love interest seemed the only fit

Have you ever felt love, lost it, or been hurt from it? Well, this is my story about "love". When I was
a young boy I had many girlfriends, but I was young I didn't know why I had a girlfriend I just
wanted one. I was never really good with the ladies, and my relationships didn't last very long
because, I was a kid. I didn't grasp the whole concept of love until I laid eyes on, Halie Brooke
Carter in middle school.
Oh lord Halie made me feel different, she filled me with butterflies, made my face turn as red as an
apple all the time; I was barely able to speak when I was around her, yet I was still able to make her
my girlfriend. I was extremely shy; we hardly ever hung out, we didn't kiss or hold hands; we were
too shy to try. Both of us were socially awkward so we didn't speak much. She decided to break up
with me and get with other guys because she said "I thought you were talking to other girls."
Struggling to talk to her how could I ever talk to other girls?
When I got older we ran into each other in high school, and we started to become really good
friends, it was bliss. Halie wanted to start dating again; I wasn't comfortable with the whole idea
because, I have lost good friends from going out with them so I told her that I didn't want to. Halie
kept pressuring me to date and promised me that she wouldn't break up with me like the last time. I
finally decided to give her another chance; I believed that she was telling me the truth.

ages to describe variations of love as it is found, challenged, lost, denied or thwarted, only to flare
up again, carrying all before it, or else destroying the lovers in a conflagration of desire ." Although,
our culture is more open and accepting of relationships, in the Middle Ages, secrecy and adulterous

In Andreas Capellanus' "The Art of Courtly Love ," in a letter from the Countess Marie of
Champagne, she states that it wasn't possible to experience courtly love with your spouse. Yet,
sexual contact typically had nothing to do with courtly love. Most of us consider sexual acts to be
something shared between lovers. But at medieval court, the term 'lover' referred to the person
with whom someone danced, giggled, and held hands. As long as the rules relating to chastity and

"People will only try to take advantage of you if you open the door for them to do so". "Be
strong, be independent, and above all love, love, love when you find someone worthy of your
love". Even my dreams consist of her. Last night I dreamed that I was riding out on the open
range and after around three hours just riding and enjoying the peace and quite of being away
from everything I noticed a figure walking towards me. I was not worried but just curious as to
who it may be. When I drew nearer I could tell it was a woman. I thought to myself why is she out
here all alone and walking. This was horse country and there was nothing for miles around that
she could walk too. When we finally came face to face I could see that she was crying and that tears
were coming down and such a sad look on her face. I dismounted and asked if "I may be of any
help? She began to cry all the much harder and tried to talk but her emotions had the best of her. I
took a chance and put my arms around her and let her cry until there seemed to be no more tears in
which she would be able to shed. When she did finally look at me her eyes were so sad and I took
my hand and softly brushed away the tears flowing down her cheeks. I asked if there was

handle anything out here all alone and crying the way you are"? Mary Doe then looked at me and
said, "you

Why do things never seem to go the way you want them to? Sometimes I believe I'm adopted, I
don't fit in the perfect little family my parents "believe" it to be. My family is dysfunctional, my
parents aren't divorced but are split apart from each other, they own a corporation and are big time
business people, who can't risk their reputation over a divorce.
My mother is the strict type of mother, she doesn't let me have friends over, nor a boyfriend and
it's all about work with her. My father is all about work, if he isn't talking about business then he
wants to know how my work life is. The only good part about my life is that I'm an only child and
have a step– brother, I think he hates me and he seems to leave the room every time I try to get
close to him every time I go over to my father's house.
The only good thing in my life is having Lisa, as my best friend. I'm not the most popular girl in
school but I chose to have one friend
