4. Using the Rapid Typing
Application
1. To start the first lesson, click on the current lesson tab. You can select the course and lesson
on the tool bar. There are two drop down list on the left side.
2. Choose the lesson you would like to work on
3. Place your fingers on the virtual keyboard as shown in the figure k and start typing. Now the
type the text or the alphabet which are displayed on the text area of the rapid typing software
windows from the keyboard.
4. If you would like to stop typing In between you can press the pause the lesson button.
5. Status bar will show you the instructions along with the two progress bars.

1. Gross, or raw speed is a calculation of exactly how fast you type
with no error penalties.
2. Net speed as calculation of exactly how fast you can type error
free.
