This Week’s Academics
Spelling– This week we focused on the frequent spelling patterns for long ‘e’. We also
reviewed synonyms, antonyms, and homophones.
Reading– We finished reading Sarah, Plain and Tall and took our test today. Next
week we will be reading Escape, which is a shortened version of Charlotte’s Web.
Writing- Students worked hard on writing a biography about a classmate this week.
They started out with 20 interview questions and then used the information from the
interview to write a biography. We hope to finish them up early next week.
Math– We started unit 2 this week. We focused on place value and using words to
write numbers.
