3. Salient/Minnesota Fiber Exchange is developing a
Regional partnership to build a 120 mile last mile,
carrier neutral, dark fiber network.
The Salient/Minnesota Fiber Exchange Network simplifies direct
connectivity from the Data Center to the end-user.
Carrier Neutral access to the fiber network for licensed, credit worthy
providers.
Salient/Minnesota Fiber Exchange maintained Dark Fiber can be lit by
Enterprises or Carriers.
Ramsey County Project part of 2012 budget cycle; also
in negotiations with Dakota County for access to their
fiber assets.

Ramsey County (and to super-regional locations
via inter network connections) from a single
point of presence.
Facilitates rapid delivery of Managed Services to
an extensive Private and Public sector customer
base.

facility within the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area
(511 Building).
A State Task Force* has identified this as a
significant liability for our region.
The Salient Data Center + Carrier Hotel strategy
brings essential redundancy to our region.
This state of the art facility will serve as a magnet
for super-regional connectivity to other
population centers in the Central U.S.
