Agility is the central characteristic for today’s most effective public sector organizations. Agile governments are flexible, adaptable, and responsive to citizen needs. A.T. Kearney’s Agile Government Index examines how governments are becoming more agile to meet the needs of society in three key areas: economic development, social development, and administrative efficiency. Based on self-assessments and interviews from 96 senior government officials as well as third-party research, this index examines government performance in four developed nations in Europe (France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom) and four developing nations in Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa).
