- In the contemporary period, the forced migration for people can be due to the complex way of the contradictions and the conflicts that have arisen. - More than six million of Afghan refugees have migrated back to their country since the year 2002, from Pakistan and Iran, in particular (Marsden, 2003). This rate of the refugee return has diminished, but the return of the migrants in both a voluntary and a forceful manner towards Afghanistan still proceeds.
