1. Kalinchok Trekking
Kalinchowk trekking,lies eastern part of Nepal. Kalinchowk Trekking is named from a prominent
temple of the Hindus Goddess of Kali.Two natural springs originate from this area which are
called Sundhara and Tama which are the main source of the very big two rivers the Sunkoshi
and Tama Koshi rivers. Kalinchowk trek is newly opened trekking trail also non touristic area
where you can see panoramic Himalaya views. Kanlinchowk trekking is starting from Barabise
on the way to Kodari Nepal and Tibet border. Along the Kalinchowk Trekking you will come
across some villages mainly inhabited by Tamangs, Sherpas, and Brahmins. Along the trail also
can be seen are a few monasteries and temples. A good view of the Mountains and Sunkoshi
River can also be had. After crossing Sherpa villages you come across a thick forest with lots
Rhododendron trees.After that you reach Kalinchowk. From the highest altitude of Kalinchowk
(3579meters) you could get a good view of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal,
Shisha Panga, Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Amabamori, Gauri Shanker, and Numbur
Himal. From Kalinchowk one could get a good view of Kathmandu at night. The main flowers of
Nepal Rhododendron (Laligurans) and the national bird Pheasant (Danfe) can also be seen in
this area. While descending to Suspa you could get to see a very rare community in Nepal
called "The Thami." Kalinchowk trekking ends at Charikot which is also a district head quarters
then drive back to Kathmandu or possible to do the Sailung Trek as same time.
Days 01 : Arrive at Tribhuwan international airport, Kathmandu, you are welcomed by the
hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to your hotel. Our guide will explain briefly
the program upon arrival at hotel.
Days 03 : Early morning drives to Barabise 800m and commence trek to Lungurpa. The first
part of the trek about 20 minutes is flat and reaches to Sunkoshi temple and cross the
suspension bridge to cross the Sunkoshi river. Then walk about half an hour through the field
and steep climb for 1 hour through the Jungle to the village of Keurini where Chhetri people
living. After crossing the village of Keurini climb to Gurung village of Bungathali. Then 45
minutes flat walk to Gurung village of Lungurpa. Over Night in camp
Days 04 : A 4-hrs gradual walks through the different village. Tungthali is settlement of Thami
people. As soon as you arrive to Ghorthali, then steeper trail to Brimthali, which is the last
village of the area? Over Night in camp
Days 05 : From Brimthali we walk Gradula climb and some places steep climb to Kalinchowk
and then down hill to Kurikharka for Overnight camp. Kalinchowk (3790m) the best view point of
the trek. The views of Rolwaling, Gauri Shankar, Jugal Himal and some peaks of Khumbu
region, which are spectacular. Over Night in camp
Days 06 : All the way down hill through the rhododendron and oak forest to Gairikharka. Over
Night in camp
Days 07 : All the way down hill through the pine forest and Sherpa village to Charikot then drive
back to Kathamandu.
2. Days 13 : After breakfast you will have some free time until the time to leave the international
airport for your final departure.
