through the Phedi, Naudanda, Kade, Lumle, Nayapul, Birethanti, and Syauli Bazaar. If you
drive to the Motkyu, you need to walk only an hour to the Chhomrong. From here your
Short ABC Trek starts in 6 days. At the begging, the trail goes along the Modi Khola
bank to New Bridge and ascending through the jungle and scattered houses, from here
cross one of the longest bridges (at Kaski Districts) on Chhomrong Khola to the Jhinu
Danda. This 287 meters long and 135 meters freeboard Suspension Bridge is becoming
an additional attraction for the trekkers while Rapid Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Often
you have seen Mountain View and amazing landscape with rice terrace. Walking to the
Chhomrong village was inhabited by a mostly Gurung ethnic group. Most of the village
has a mini-hydro power station by community running. There are many ups and down
walking to the Sinuwa, Bambo, Dobhan, and Himalaya. The valley becomes narrow by
gigantic mountains Machhapuchhre and Hiuchuli, still, you will peers mountains scenery
often. Below the Himalaya Hotel, there is a temple known as Pujinima Baraha, where you
can see a beautiful waterfall coming from the bottom of Mt. Fishtail. The locals believe
there are 108 different waterfalls. Above this temple to Annapurna Base Camp is known
as the Annapurna Sanctuary, sacrifice or kill any animal are not prohibited. Even any
kind of plastic bottle and rubbishes are prohibited in this area, every teahouse selling
boiling filtered water for a drink. Nearby Deurali there is a cave name Hinku Cave, where
the porters used to sleep on early trekking time. During the spring season before Deurali
to MBC is more risk of avalanches. We advise you to take this part before sunshine.
Sometimes you will encounter Musk Deer and Himalayan Goat/ Jharal nearby tea
houses. Finally, you will get to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m), there are several
tea houses for overnight stay. You have a magnificent view of Annapurna III (7,219m),
Machhapuchhre known as Fishtail (6,643m), Mardi Himal (5,553m), etc.
Then you will walk to Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek an elevation of 4,130 meters
from sea level. ABC is just beside the Annapurna Glacier; often you will hear a hound of
avalanches and glacier movement. From here to Annapurna Base Camp, we’ll walk

Day 1: Fly Kathmandu to Pokhara (950m) – 25 to 30 munities & drive to
Siwai (1230m)/Matque via Nayapul (1010m) – 2 ½ to 3 hours & Trek
to Chommrong (2140m) - 4 to 5 hours

Our trekking guide will come to the hotel in the morning, and drive to airport for the
Pokhara flight. The flight will be providing earliest where as possible. Your will enjoy
your 25 to 30 minutes flight with stunning scenery of snow capped mountains view,
green hills, rivers and villages. The right side window seats would be best to sets in
the plane for the mountains scenery. Pokhara is a beautiful valley with panoramic
views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail), Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal
and Manaslu. The town of Pokhara is set on the banks of the Phewa Lake. It is
smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu providing the perfect starting point
for our trek. Then, drive to Siwai (1230m)/Matque via Phedi, Kande, Naudanda, Lumle,
Nayapul, Birethanti, Syauli Bazaar, this will be 2 to 3 hours drive by private
transportation. There is road access to the Motkyu also, this makes shorter trip to
the Chhomorong. Now your ABC short trek begins from Siwai. The trail follows the
Modi Khola bank until New Bridge, you will meet some trekking coming back from
ABC and some are coming down from Gandruk from Ghorepani and some are
heading Annapurna Base Camp from Landruk village. Often, we will see beautiful
Hiuchuli Mountain just ahead in our trail. You may see new bridge this time too, due
to most of the time the flood sweep way bridge at Modi Khola. That,s why this
place called new bridge. There is a long bridge at Chhomrong Khola help by Sir.
Michael Kadoorie ( Billionaire Hong Kong businessman) an another attraction of
tourist. It takes 4 to 5 minutes walk to cross the 287 meters bridge, this cut the half
an hour trail by few minutes. After about 1 to 1 ½ hours ascends through the jungle,
we will have lunch in Jhinu Danda. Meanwhile, you may visit to the hot spring 30
mutinies walking distance from here. Then we will get in Chommrong after one
hours climb through the stone steps observing amazing landscape and rice trace.
We will stay overnight at tea house.

Day 2: Trek Chommrong to Himalaya (2920m) - 7 to 8 hours

Day 3: Trek Himalaya to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m) - 3 to 4

hours

Day 4: Trek Machhapuchre Base Camp to Jhinu Danda /hot spring
(1780m) - 8 to 9 hours

Day 5: Trek Jhinu Danda (Hot spring) to Siwa (1230m) /Matque – 3 to 4
hours, drive to Pokhara (950m) 2 ½ to 3 hours

Day 6: Drive back to Kathmandu early in the morning by Tourist Bus - 6 to

Annapurna Base Camp Trek Preparation:
Following is the list of things to productively prepare for the Short Annapurna Base
Camp Trek:
Exercise and hike before the start of the trek if you are new to trekking.
Ask packing list for the trek from the travel company, you are traveling with.
Make sure all the gears are good and working nicely.
Visit your doctor and ask about the risk you might have to face during the trek.
Pull out good travel insurance.
Arrange all the necessary documents.
Research about the place you will be traveling.
Know about the weather and buy a well-made route map.
Pokhara to Annapurna Base Camp:
From Pokhara, you will drive for around 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach Nayapul or it is
possible to drive till Motkyu. It is the starting point of Short ABC Trek. From here, you will
trek towards Jhinudanda. Further, the trail will go through the lovely villages of
Chommrong, Dovan, and Deurali and take you to Annapurna Base Camp. Before
reaching ABC, you will pass by Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Spending a night at
Annapurna Base Camp, you will descend back to Jhinu Danda via Bamboo. You will get to
enjoy the hot spring in Jhinu Danda. The trail then drops down to the Motkyu from where
you will drive back to Pokhara.
Best Time for Trek to Annapurna Base Camp:
The best time to go to Annapurna Base Camp is in spring (March to May) and autumn
(September to November). Both seasons are the peak time of the year to go on Trek to
Annapurna Base Camp. Weather is pleasant, the region gets bloomed up with lovely
flowers, and the air carries divine freshness in it.
Monsoon and winter is not the preferable time of the year to go on Annapurna Base
Camp Trek. Rainfall makes the trail slippery and full of bugs. Likewise, heavy snowfall and
cold make the journey more challenging.

7. Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek route covers approximately 115 km. You will be
trekking 10 to 20 km per day. As the trail is famous, you will see many fellow travelers
from around the globe.
NOTE
If you do not need a porter for the trip, the trekking cost will be reduced from the
original price. Nepal Mother House gives you some clues to make less cost for the
Solo traveler also. Please contact us in our email for more details with your
requirements.
Note: The cost for a Solo trip (for 1 Person) is different due to not sharing the cost with
other people. In this situation, we provide a professional Guide/Porter-Guide (helps to
carry 5 to 8 kg of your bag) and will provide you local transportation bus or jeep
instead to private transport from Pokhara to trekking begging point and trekking
ending point to Pokhara. If this is suitable for you, please go ahead with the trip
