There are multiple types of blocks, and whether or not they're interactive depends on their color, which also determines the cube's function. From

In the first half of the decade, things were looking up for video game movies, as there were huge hits like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil.
However, from 2005 to 2009 game adaptations were mostly underwhelming, with none making over $100 million at the box office. They performed
especially poorly with critics as all of them scored below 35% on Rotten Tomatoes and five of them got below 10%, which is an awful score.
On that note, we start with one of the worst movies I 've ever seen, Alone in the Dark, based on the survival horror series from Infogrames. The
franchise began in 1992 on the PC and has somewhat died out recently, as it has only seen two entries since 2002.
The film adaptation was directed by infamous German filmmaker Uwe Boll, who is notorious for making exceptionally awful movies, many of them
inspired by video games. He had already made the terrible game adaption House of the Dead in 2003, and he 'll come up in this article four more times.
Alone in the Dark has an astonishingly bad Rotten Tomatoes score of 1% and it currently has an IMDB user rating of 2.3, making it the 43rd lowest

The play M Butterfly highlights gender roles and power in a subtler way than in the film, M. Butterfly. The movie changes the timeline and thus the

Heidegger emphasized that you can only project on where you stand. We can't just get up and get started on something new immediately if we
decide that our current situation is something that we don't want anymore. An example would be me deciding if I should still pursue my Master's

Although he had freedom of speech, I had freedom of speech as well. That thing isn't free from the repercussions of his actions despite being free, so
I responded that I have proper documentation, skills, and qualifications to do the said job. His insistence on his notion further escalated the
repercussions. Despite him being qualified for our services, I did not allow him to say more and informed him that he ask another firm's assistance if
he has an issue with our diversity.
Another topic that caught my attention was of bad faith. It was made clear today that this concept is basically restricting one's choices due to
pressure from external sources like society, family, etc. Basically, the statement of, "I have no choice, this is the only one that I have." It is highly
evident in the most recent US election where both leading candidates were horrible, and the best alternative was to choose the lesser of two evils.
Personally, I didn't give in and I chose to go for the candidate that was morally, academically and professionally qualified based on doing research
(unfortunately, those candidates never stood a chance due to the masses' bad faith). A perfect example for this that I recalled was a quote on a video
game named Final Fantasy X–2 (it's a sequel to Final Fantasy X, where this focused on the main character on X–2 to go in a different direction than the
tradition usually

People choose many ways to learn how to deal with life. Life can be either difficult at times or easy. The same idea can be applied to video games.
Playing online games taught me patience, how to interact with other people around the world and how to manage my stress.
Two factors in online games that can determine my interest are drop rates and game difficulty. A drop rate is the probability or ratio that determines
how much more or how much less an item will become available from an enemy in a game. The drop rate for some items can be miniscule. When I
played Final Fantasy IX ten years ago, I had to kill a monster called a leech for an item that had a low drop rate. Because of the low drop rate, it took

Sometimes I just want to sit down and tune out everything around me, turn down the sound effects, and listen to the music in the game. It calms
me, and I forget about my problems for a while. It is a stress reliever, and I also get an adrenaline rush from challenging fights. When an enemy is
tough and causes widespread area damage, every minute step or evasive direction I choose to make could be fatal. Some people quit, I choose to
persevere until I win. The feeling when I accomplish something so difficult makes the task worth it. Because I am stationed overseas, I do not get to
spend time with my family back in the states, and it causes stress. Online games are a great way to still keep in touch with them. Recently I started
playing with my brother, although our time differences make it difficult. I also bond with my wife by playing video games. Socializing with others is
enjoyable, but finding something that I can share with my significant other helps us manage relationship stress. I try to update her equipment in order
for her to fully enjoy all that the game has to offer, and that in itself makes me happy.
In conclusion, playing online games over the years has taught me how to persevere through tough times. Even though I live in another country, I will
not let language barriers keep me from enjoying my time here. Life is annoying, and I am glad I found something that I can share with my significant

Video Games – The Forgotten Art Ask any major in the fine arts for the definition of art. They're likely to tell you that it is self
–expression through the
use of some sort of medium. Most commonly thought of are clay for a sculpture, paint for a masterpiece, even music notes for a four–movement suite.
The last thing you'd think of is a computer program for a video game. But why not? Don't video games incorporate both artwork and music? Each
one is considered art, but many people consider the result, when put together, to be a waste of time. Through personal experience, I would have to
define art as not only a way to express yourself, but as a source of inspiration to others. Not only do video games use art with music, they oftentimes...
For example, most military games are based solely on some war or other, such as the games Call of Duty or Medal of Honor. Neither game is very
original, as they really have no storyline other than to run around shooting the enemies. Originality is a prime requisite of a game being considered
art. Other games lacking in uniqueness are games based on movies or books. Most famous in this category are the Star Wars games and Lord of the
Rings series. Both may be very fun to play, but being fun to play does not make them art. Art is original, fresh, never–before–thought–of material. Star
Wars and Lord of the Rings both have engaging storylines, but said storylines had already been established years before any game was produced.
Again, to be art, a video game must have an original storyline, not a preconceived one. As a rule, few games meet the originality criterion, but there
are exceptions. The Legend of Zelda. To any gamer it is a familiar name. The reason is simple– it was the first of its kind. The Legend of Zelda was
the dawning of the role–playing genre in video games. As a role–playing game, it allowed the gamer to be in the decision–making role, not just a
straight line, no choices game, as most were at the time. This was a new concept for a video game at the time The Legend of Zelda was released. The

The article by Hatice Ezberk "The Function of Fantasy as a subversive Genre in Literature" examines the idea of how fantastic literature can bring out
an emphasis on how the world transforms through the writers eyes. As fantasy literature grows it can become unclear as to what social norms the
literature is trying to juxtapose. Ezberk argues that trying to categorize fantasy literature is a rebellious act as the subgenre's become too specific and
can at times deceive the reader by delivering functions it is not meant to deliver. Ezberk argues through other works by establishing that the concept
of realism is not valid in fantasy literature as it becomes too vague. Instead fantasy literature takes the reader away from a world they know and into a

In the 21st century, movies present a platform for ideas and themes to be conveyed through a screen. Themes of change, environmental crisis, love, and
death are all only a few of the most common themes that circulate through the Hollywood film industry. According to Annalee Newitz in her essay
"When Will White People Stop Making Movies Like Avatar?", a recurring theme she's noticed is the theme of white guilt. In her essay, Newitz depicts

Furthermore, when Jake Sully became their "leader" so to speak, he had already submitted himself to the Na'vi life and made sure to prove his
strength as a Na'vi, not as a white man. His intention at that point of the movie was not even to take over as the tribe leader, but rather just to lead his
new family to fight for their land. Another "white fantasy" observation Newitz makes in her essay is that the white protagonist always becomes the
savior. This is hardly the truth in the Avatar's case. Throughout thefilm, Jake is rescued by Neytiri and the Na'vi numerous times. Even after the final
battle is over, it is Neytiri who saves his life when he begins to suffocate in his human form. Also, rather than Jake "saving the day" during the final
battle, the film focuses on the fact that Jake is unable to combat the opposing side single–handedly, and can only succeed with the aid of his Na'vi
brethren. In other words, rather than the white man saving the day, it was the teamwork of his native friends that made the win possible. Admittedly,
the start of the movie illustrates the concept of one species (the humans) infiltrating another's (The Navi's) homeland. This was purposeful, as the

Lonsdale Prince. In order to establish a sense of horror, Turner demonstrates the use of essential and vivid imagery hence persisting to continue tonal
adjustments throughout. Turner has this possible ability to be able to connect a sense of creativity and mystery to his reality. Turner utilizes a range of
language features when outlining the central object to the story 'A severed human finger' (pg 3). The finger is the innermost focus of the tale. This
