2. DEFINITION OF GOODS –
In economics , good may be defined
as material that satisfy human wants
and provide utility . For example :-
a consumer making a purchase of
satisfying product.
3. Type of goods
(1) According to material or non material :
(A) Material goods(tangible goods) -
Having physical existence are visible.
Example—Land , Food , building
(B) Non-material goods(non tangible goods) -
Having non physical existence.
example-Services like teaching , service of
doctors.
4. 2) According to their supply:
(A) Free good- Supply more than demand
Example- water , air etc.
(B) Economic good: supply more than
demand.It can obtain by paying a price
Example-clothes , foods etc.
(3) According to their transferability-
(A) Transferable goods-Those goods whose
ownership can be transferred from one to another
person,
Example –machinery, building, animals.
(B) Non-transferable goods –Which can not transfer
from one to another person.
Example-Skills , knowledge ,inteligency etc.
5. (4) According to their consumption-
(A) Consumer goods –These are the goods which are
consume directly by the user.They satisfy the
human want directly .
Example – biscuit packet, etc.
(B) Producer or capital goods –
Do not directly satisfy wants .They are used for
production of other goods.
Example-machine etc.
(5) According to good being public & private -
(A) Public goods-are those which are common to all
&are owned by soceity .
(B) Private goods-are the property of individual.
Example-Land , building.

(A)single used goods-single time use only
(monoproduction goods)
a -single use consumer goods-food,tea , eggs.
b-single use production goods –raw material.
(B)Durable goods (polyperiod goods )-which can be
used again & again over a time period.
